Ch15- Cerulean and The Pokedex Update
After receiving the egg, I started rushing towards Cerulean through Route 4, We did a lot of battles on our way. Combined with battles in the Mt.Moon, leaps and bounds of improvements can be seen. Riolu has mastered Brick break, she is really strong now. Scyther is learning his new move Wing attack, he will master it in 2 days.
I am planning to use Ralts for my next gym. There won't be any place to stand because there are only some small platforms and the rest is water. Ralts can teleport between the platforms for movement and she also needs a last push for evolution.
Even though Scyther is kind of a loner, Ralts communicates with him quite often, she is acting like a big sister to Scyther. We are a day away from Cerulean and I am ready for my gym battle but before that there is a task to complete. I forgot to call Oak after my first gym, I need to give updates on my journey and he would be really happy to see a shiny Ralts.
We camped just outside the city, it was already late and we will enter the city tomorrow. I put the egg in an incubator which I got from the professor. The egg has four tooth-like protrusions, two on each side. It has a yellow star on the top and the rest was red and blue.
To handle this sort of pokemon, I need an ice type over a fairy. I have one option now, that is teaching ice type moves to Ralts and Riolu. Ralts can learn icy wind and Riolu can learn ice punch but the problem is, I don't know how to teach those moves. I will ask the cerulean sisters as their pokemon are water/ice type. I need Ralts to charm them are ask Professors help. I will work part-time for two weeks in their gym and get them to teach Riolu and Ralts. These are the only options I have...
Just like that, I fell asleep.

Cerulean City(Pokemon Center)
I gave my pokemon for healing and asked them to scan the egg to see if it's all right.
I also registered my gym schedule, my match is in the evening and I can choose to battle one of the three sisters.
I received my pokemon back and got ready for my first video chat with Oak. I remember Ash doing this all the time and I hope there's no Muk behind him. (lol)
I put Riolu on my lap and Ralts was sitting on my head, Scyther just stood beside me with a deadpanned expression. "Guys, I am calling the professor and I need you to be calm and behaved. For a fact, Riolu is the daughter of one of his Pokemon and years back, he was also a champion of Kanto."
Hearing the word Champion, they were excited.
I called Prof.Oak
"Ring Ring.....Ring Ring...Oh well hello there Gunn, its been a long ti......"
He swallowed his words when he saw a Scyther and then his eyes went over my head to see a Shiny Ralts.
"Oh my God!!!!, Are you a son of luck god or something? I feel a bit dizzy looking at three rare pokemon on one trainer. Don't mind the Scyther but how in the world did you get a Ralts of different colouration?"
"Long story professor, I will tell you about it when I visit pallet town. I also got my first badge and I am in Cerulean for my second one."
"That's good to hear and is there anything else? if not I have very good news."
"Unfortunately, I have horrible news and I will tell that first Professor and then you can tell me what the good news is."
looking at my serious face, his demeanour changed in an instant and then I explained everything that happened in Mt.Moon without leaving anything out, including the egg and a mega stone. He looked very serious, he told me that he will get back to me in an hour and cut the call.
'Huffffff.....we have a lot on our plate and I need proper planning for this. Game corner in Celadon, I think I will surely visit it after the fourth gym.'
We waited for an hour in our room, there was an announcement that I got a call from Oak so I went downstairs.
"Professor, Is it very serious???"
" You don't need to worry Gunn, the league will take care of it. I had a meeting set up tomorrow and we will discuss it. Regarding the mega stone, its something special and I will tell you in detail when the time is right."
'I was really worried about the meeting they will have, Giovanni is part of the league and he will know that someone has informed Oak. There are two possibilities now, one is Giovanni rushing the plan and the other is halting the plan for some time. I hope its the latter because he will be wary of Oak and Agatha. I can't tell Oak about Giovanni as I have no proof.'
"And Professor, what's the good news you wanted to tell me?"
"Ahh ya, I almost forgot. I was doing the research for six months on how to add the nature part to the Pokedex. We succeeded in it and you can update your Pokedex now. Every nature has its own DNA sequence and I had to detect them. Pokedex can recognize the DNA sequence and it will be easier to train pokemon now."
"Oh that's really helpful professor"
" That's just a bonus young man, Good news is that the league confirmed your theory with the other regions and they will release a book on it just before the Indigo League. They wanted to release it immediately but I was against the idea as many trainers will start abandoning their already caught pokemon if the nature is different from what they want. I suggested them that it would be better to release it at the start of the journey next year. You will get 5 percent of the profit they make with the books."
" That's great professor. I heard from Brock that Pokedex will be mass-produced from next year in all the regions. Is that true??"
"Yes, I thought of doing it this year but your theory pushed the plans till next year. Anyway, I have some work to do so if you don't have anything I will leave."
"There's just one thing, I will send you a Pokeball that contains a shiny rattata which has double edge and ice beam in its movepool. I want to trade it for a metal coat with the league. Is that possible?"
" Oh great, Shiny is very rare and we would take any shiny pokemon for a trade as it helps in breeding to get stronger pokemon. Send it to me and your metal coat would be delivered to you within 10 days. Receive it from the next poke Center."
"Scyther Scy". Scyther was excited as fuck.
I eased him and sent the Rattata's Pokeball to the professor.
" Now that everything is done, its time for our gym battle. Ralts are you ready???"
[Yes sir, I am really excited to help you.]
" Lu Rio Lu Riolu"
Riolu was pouting because she wanted to battle but I told her that she can fight the next two gyms. I calmed her after coaxing her with an ice punch she is going to learn.
'Shit I forgot to ask a recommendation from Professor, it would be easy to convince the Cerulean sisters in teaching ice moves.'
I messaged him hoping he would check it and inform the gym leaders. We went out to have our lunch and some training after that
