Living Statues?

Katsu and Amaya looked at the doors in amazement. They were both very surprised by the size of the doors. Katsu's face then turned serious.

"Alright. Let's get these doors open. I'll get the right one, you get the left."

They both walked over to the doors and began pushing against them with all their might. Despite the size of the doors, they opened pretty easily. As the doors were now fully opened Amaya and Katsu walked in.

The room was Gigantic, and up ahead was another pair of giant doors. In the room were six giant statues holding giant swords. They looked to be around ten to fif-teen feet tall. Two of the statues were at the entrance. One was by Katsu's side and the other was on Amaya's side.

Guarding the doors up ahead were the other four statues. Two next to one door and two next to the other. Amaya looked creeped out while Katsu was unfazed. They began walking towards the other set of doors.

"These statutes give me the creeps." said Amaya.

While walking, Katsu looked at Amaya and said

"They're just statues. It's not like they can attack us or anything."

Amaya looked even more creeped out. She then scanned the area.

"But what if they could?"

They had finally reached the other set of doors.

Katsu closed his eyes and let out a sigh.

"There's no way they'll just come to life, so don't worry.

He then looked up at the giant statues.

"Okay. How are we going to get these things out of the way?"

Suddenly, the statue lifted it's foot above Katsu.

He looked up and saw the statue's foot coming down at him and Amaya. They both turned around and quickly dived out of the way.

As the statue's foot hit the ground dust flew everywhere as the floor cracked and shook violently. Amaya and Katsu got up off of the floor, coughing because of all of the dust.

Amaya turned to Katsu and yelled

"What did I tell you?! The dang statue is alive!"

The dust bagan to clear and Katsu looked around.

"You say statue like only one of them are alive."

The two from when they walked in, and the other statues were all alive and slowly walking towards them. The statues eyes were all glowing red.

Amaya looked around at all the statues, nervously.

"Great. First I got scratched up by shadow monsters and now we got walking rocks to deal with?"

Katsu faced the four statues guarding the door.

"Amaya, I'll handle these ones. Can you handle the other two?"

Amaya smiled, and faced the statues that were behind.

"Yeah, I got this."

She looked at the two statues and their stats came into view.

(Hp:1,000 Mp: 0 Armor:500 Atk:150 Speed:10 Endurance:18)

"One hit from one of those statues would bring me near death, but I would still be able to fight .Two hits would Kill me. Their speed is pretty slow compared to me, so I'll be able to not get hit."

She bagan running at them. One statue was on her left, the other on the right. They lifted their swords and swung them down at her. She Jumped in the middle, Between both monsters.

Their strikes had missed and cracked the ground. She turned to the statue to her right and jumped on it's sword. Amaya then began to crawl up the monster's arm, all the way up to its shoulder. She pulled out both of her daggers and bagan slashing at its face.

(Statue: Hp: 96/1,000 Armor: 0/500)

Amaya saw a larger shadow begin to cover her and the statue.

She turned around and saw the other one with it's sword raised, ready to swing. Amaya saw this and jumped off as the statue swung the sword.

The statue had accidently hit it's partner, shattering it and killing it.

Amaya looked over at Katsu and saw he had already killed two of them.

Amaya was distracted and failed to see that the statue had thrown a punch. Amaya turned back to the statue, she was hit.

(Amaya: Hp: 10/220)

The hit cracked Amaya's right rib cage and sent her flying back.

She hit the ground and rolled. Amaya had dropped both of the daggers she had.

"Crap…..this hurts. I think my ribs cracked."

Amaya slowly stood up in pain.

The statue got closer and lifted its sword then swung it down at Amaya.

She quickly jumped to the left, dodging the attack.

The attack from the statue had cracked the ground as Amay jumped up onto its sword. She then began to crawl her way up its right arm. The statue noticed this and let go of its sword. It reached out to grab Amaya. She noticed the statue's hand that was seconds from grabbing her.

"Dash!"

She successfully dodged the creature's hand and was now on his shoulder.

Amaya then thought to herself

"I can swing faster with my bare hands than I can when I'm holding weapons."

She began rapidly swinging her fists at the creature's face.

Left, right, left, right, left, left, right. There seemed to be no stop to her attacks. She began to crack the creature's face. Suddenly, It shattered.

[Exp gained] It began to fall over. Amaya jumped off and smoothly stuck the landing. Dust flew up as the statue fell to the ground. She took a deep breath and let it out.

"I wonder how Katsu is doing."

Amaya turned around and looked at Katsu. She noticed that he had killed three of the statues and was fighting the last one.

The statue swung it's sword at him as Katsu stood still.

"Time slow."

To katsu, everything was now moving slow but he was moving his normal speed.

He looked at the sword that was about to hit him and squinted.

"Quick slash."

Katsu quickly swung his sword at statues sword and shattered it.

Time began to move normally again as he looked up at the statue's face.

"Flying slash."

At an amazing speed, he jumped up slashed the creatures face.

The force from his attack slightly cracked the statue's face.

As Katsu landed, the statue grabbed him. It squeezed him tight then threw him to the ground. Katsu laid there for about five seconds before slowly getting up.

Amaya ran towards the statue.

"Dash!"

She rapidly swung her daggers at it.

(Statue: Hp: 0/1,000) [You have leveled up]

The statue's eyes darkened as It fell over.

"You just took my kill." said Katsu

"Whoops. Sorry." Amaya apologized as she scratched the back of her head.

"Here heal up."

He handed Amaya a bottle full of green liquid, a healing potion. She then tore the cork off and drank the potion.

(Amaya: Hp: 365/365)

"Are you ready to open those doors?" Katsu asked.

"Yeah, but let me check my new stats first."

She opened up the Menu and went to "Stats"

(Level:10 Hp:365 Mp:195 Armor:0 Atk:150 Speed:35 Endurance:38 Exp:100 Expn:1,000)

"Nice. I leveled up pretty good this time. It's time to check out that new skill I got."

She went back to the menu and this time went to "Skills"

(Skills: Analyze, Dash, Penetrate, No other skills)

She focused on where it said "Penetrate" and a description came up.

(Penetrate: Ignores armor and does full damage. Cost: 100 Mp per hit. When used on an opponent without armor, your Atk does twice as much damage.)

"This will definitely help."

Katsu then looked at Amaya and said

"Looks like you're done. Let's go."

Amaya and Katsu walked over to the doors. They began pushing with effort. These ones were harder to open than the last ones. After a couple seconds of pushing, the doors opened.

Amaya and Katsu took a quick breather then began to Walk in. The room was as Gigantic as the other one.

As they kept walking further in, they noticed something terrifying. There was a Giant creature standing in the room. It was at least forty feet tall. It looked like the shadow creatures that they had fought earlier, but much bigger.

It had six eyes that were completely white. Three eyes were on one side of its face and three were on the other. Katsu and Amaya both looked Surprised and slightly unsettled.

"So, this must be the dungeon boss." said Amaya.

Katsu agreed.

"Yep, this is definitely the dungeon boss."

The creature began to grow long tentacle-looking shadows out of its back.

Amaya looked confused.

"Is this thing supposed to be an octopus?"

One of the shadows quickly launched towards Amaya, trying to hit her. She quickly moved to the side as the shadow missed.

A sweat ran down her cheek as she thought to herself.

"That was fast. I almost didn't see it coming. This creature is definitely trouble."
