The Sword of Truest Damage

"Welp, I finally made it."

Just out of the forest, there was a giant green land that stretched out for miles. Many groups of monsters steadily approached the base of the knights as they tried to defend.

Left and right, swords were swinging and arrows were gliding across the air. Knights' lives were exchanged for killing monsters. This was the true scene of a battle.

'I guess they weren't exaggerating when they said the base was under attack.'

[Total Knights : 900]

[Total Monsters : 2,300]

'Well, I should be able to do this.'

Amaya held her hand out, aiming her palm at the scene. Her eyes closed and she imagined hundreds of hands appearing to grab and eliminate each monster. Suddenly, her eyes flung open and she shouted.

"Shadow: Grab and Kill."

A shadow…..an extraordinarily large shadow covered the entire grassland. All the many knights looked fearful when they saw that the shadow was not coming from the sun being blocked, but a form of magic.

The shadows covered and squeezed anything it grabbed into a pulp. But the soldiers quickly stopped fearing as they saw, the shadows were only killing the monsters.

Squish. Squish. Squish. Squish.

Blood would splurt from each monster squeezed out of life. A low humming filled the air as the great shadow covering the land had vanished.

The many knights looked at the white-haired figure who stood atop of a hill. And almost each soldier was able to recognize her as...

{Name: Amaya | Rank: Legendary}

By the time she approached the base, she was greeted by one of the general's of the knights.

"Amaya, how fortunate you showed up. I was afraid many more men would lose their lives before we would win the battle."

"I tried to come sooner but had complications."

She recalled her experience on her way through the forest.

On her way over, she was earlier surrounded by a group of masked men who appeared from almost nowhere. Not wanting to hurt them as they were humans, she tried to talk to them.

"Please step out of the way. I have somewhere I need to go. Lives are at stake."

One of the men slowly pulled out a small sword.

Swsh.

"Oh, we know. Our orders are to not let you interfere."

Amaya was surprised by his words.

"Interfere? Wait a minute.. Do you guys have something to do with the attack? Also, how did you know I was coming?"

"We have many eyes around to watch our greatest threats."

Amaya didn't seem to understand and she only let out a sound of confusion, tilting her head.

"Hm?"

"You don't need to understand all that. Just understand that you should turn back. If not, we're ordered to take your life."

The man's cockieness almost made Amay want to laugh.

She, herself wasn't all that cocky either but, she was aware of her own strength.

'They'll fight me? I mean. Don't they know how strong I am? I could literally kill them if I wasn't a nice person.' Amaya thought to herself.

Openly, she demanded "Just step out of the way please."

"You've made your decision then." the man aggressively shouted.

And in that moment, each person surrounding her had lashed out and started attacking her.

Amaya easily dodged their strikes and within a second she smashed each of their faces into the floor.

Smash! Smash! Smash! Smash! Smash!

She patted her hands together, clearing the dust off of them.

'Now that they're out of the way, I should get go-'

Fwsh. Shnk.

She stopped her thought process as something was stabbed through her back, coming out her chest.

Looking down, she saw that it was a sword that had stabbed her. But something was strange. She found herself to almost be in a paralized state as she couldn't move.

Thump!

Amay fell onto the floor as she realized that there were now other masked individuals who were hiding among the forest the entire time.

'Why..can't I move??' She thought to herself.

That's when one of the masked-people stepped forward. A matured female voice spoke.

"You're probably wondering why you can't move. Correct? Ehehe. You see, upon giving this task to us to handle, our superiors trusted me with a very gorgeous weapon. One of the legendary weapons told in stories, the Sword of Truest damage. I'm really growing attracted to its power."

Amaya's eyes widened as she realized that a great chunk of her health was now missing.

The masked woman continued.

"It is a truly amazing weapon. Erasing 50% of its targets heath on impact. Regardless of how much defense you have, this sword ignores it all. And because of how it reduces the target's skill activation by a minute, it is the greatest weapon for any countering in anyone. And I don't even have to point out it's stun effect."

The woman he kneeled down and gently whispered into Amaya's ear. As she did so, Amaya could feel the woman's warm breath and the point of the sword pressing against her back.

"Ohhhh, you beautiful thing. It's sad how the gods cursed a girl like you with all this strength. But no need for you to suffer any longer. I'll end everything for you now."

Amaya was only able to lay there without any way of moving.

Swsh Shink.

Roughly, a sword was stabbed into her back.

"She's not dead yet. She's just unconscious. I really do hate after life."

The woman pulled the sword from Amaya's back before stabbing her further.

Swoosh. Shink!

Each of the masked people only stood around as a pool of blood filled the ground. The masked-woman caringly wiped down the sword with a white cloth.

Staring at her own reflection on the blade, she spoke to the others.

"Our mission is complete. Let us head back."

Each of the masked people slowly began to walk off until their bodies matched with the forest.

A while later, Amaya woke up, laying in a puddle of her own blood.

['Second Chance' has activated]

She grabbed her chest where there was once a deadly wound.

'A legendary weapon allowed someone to easily handle me. That's scary…'

She continued her walk towards the base that was under attack.

'...For now, I just need to help.'

Present...

"It's fine. You came as soon as you could. We appreciate you." Said the general.

"Was the attack the only issue?" Amaya asked.

"Yes, that's the only issue here. But, there's still that dragon issue. As for the location of that, I'm not too sure. I haven't heard anything back from the adventures deployed."

Amaya could just feel a laser hitting the back of her head. Not a physical laser, but rather a laser as sight. She could feel that she was being watched. She quickly turned and looked at the forest.

'Someone watching me from there.'

"Okay, I think I could find out where the dragon is. I'll get going now." Amaya replied to the general.

"Thank you, Miss Amaya."

By time she approached the row of trees where she was being watched from. Whoever was there had already left when they saw that Amaya had realized the eyes on her.

She thought back on the words of one of the masked people. The words that said "We have many eyes around to watch our greatest threats."

'Is this what he meant?.' Amaya thought to herself.
