100 Lives Later, Still Not Dead

Isla squirmed, unable to move as she was pinned underneath Ace's heel.

"You can't escape. I overpower you. Your fight ends here. I wish you had followed a path of your own, away from your fathers ideals. You could've been a good protector."

Ace lifted his sword, closing his eyes as held slashed it through Isla's neck.

Slash!

{Isla : HP: 0/789,412}

{Ace: HP: 125,935,046/150,000,000}

With minimal damage taken, the victor was Ace. It had marked the 101st time Isla was slayn. It was over now that she had no more lives to keep her breathing. Ace holstered is blade and stood, waiting for the scenery to go back to normal. After a few moments of waiting, it was apparent that nothing was changing and this private area was not going to fade away.

'Hmmm. What is taking it so long? Could it be that killing her wasn't enough to dispel it?' he thought to himself.

Something just felt off. But Ace couldn't really pin what it was.

His heart jumped as his [Sixth Sense] picked up on danger

Is eyes opened wide as he felt immense power laughing at him.

Blast!! BOOM!

A city-destroyer sized ball of electricity had struck him.

[Instant Death Resistance]

Instead of being blown to bits, he stood unscaved.

'What? She shouldn't be alive. I killed her 101 times. What's keeping her alive?'

Spotting Ace's confusion, Isla spoke.

"Did you think murdering me would kill me? Did you think Slaughtering me one-hundred-one time would kill me? That's not my only immortal skill."

"What do you mean?"

"As long as I have mana, it will be being converted into heath. And I regenerate nearly half my mana in five seconds. I will not die. I can't."

Maybe, just maybe if she hand't described her skill, Ace would've been left confused and with no ways of beating her. But now, he knew how her other skill works.

'I didn't want to try this move yet, it my have a bad impact on me if I don it wrong. I've only just started getting the hang of it, but I might pull it off. This move is the only chance i have.'

Ace focused his stare of his opponent as his red eyes shined.

"Original Skyman Technuiqe: Borrow."

A screen came into view.

{Results for Isla's skills

1. 100 lives

2. Auto Mana Revival

3. Sacraifice of power.}

Just from seeing the names, he knew which one was keeping her alive.

"Borrow: skill 2." Ace commanded quietly.

Isla tilted her head, questioning.

"What are you up to?"

"I'll let you be a hands on learner." Ace replied.

He lifted his sword in Isla's direction as it began to glow.

Under Ace's breath, he murmured "Offense Leap."

Swoosh.

The floor underneath his heels crumbled and broke apart. Ace flashed through the air, passing by Isla.

SLLLAAAAAASSSSHHHH!

Ace stopped to stand still, before placing his weapon away.

Split!

Isla's leg's fell apart into chunks, leaving her body to crash against the floor.

She watched her blood flood out of her wounds, watching in fear.

"I'm...not regenerating? WHY!? What is it you DID?!"

"I borrowed your skill. And while I'm using it, you will be unable to. This will be your final, death with do revives."

Ace walked over to Isla who laid in fear before speaking nonsense.

"I hope..you enjoy the show.."

"Enough. Rest now."

Ace thrusted his blade into Isla'schest, popping her heart.

Shank!

"I truly feel sorry for you. If only you had been raised by a decent being, you would've been someone great."

The darkness in this personal reality, slowly drifted away, until, Ace was back in the forest, same spot he had left from.

Finally, he was done slaughtering the same foe with his beloved blade and now it was time for Ace to place it to rest in his scavern.

'It is done. It was strong fight, wasn't it?'

_________

3 days later… Many groups of knights were sent to the forest, to set up checkpoints and camps. That forest was going to be investigated and thourougly search for any dark mages and anyone with the council of light.

Meanwhile….

Mary sat with a warm cup of tea in her hands as she vented her thoughts to Sapphire.

"I..still can't believe it. Why would father Ammiel do such a thing? Why would he kill everyone, along with my sister." Mary tried to hold back tears, but ended up failing miserably.

"I know it won't won't change the lives that were lost. But I'll give you my word, Ammiel will be held caught for his crimes and face justice. I'll make sure of it."

Sapphire left the room to give Mary some time to herself and let things sink in. Sapphire's mind couldn't imagine how it would be in Mary's shoes. Aside from that, there were brave knights camping out and searching the forest. And there were most likely going to be battles that would take place. Sapphire wasn't all too strong in her current situation, but a part of her felt that it was wrong to just hang out while everyone fought, even if she was told to. Even if Jean and Ace were against it, she couldn't just sit back when she could find a way to help.

But first, she was going to make a request of someone. There was someone she wanted to make equipment for her, so she could be at her absolute best.

"I haven't visited Hikaru for a while, but I'm sure he could make good equipment for me if I provide him with the expenses."

Using her gate, Sapphire traveled to a place she hadn't visited in awhile.

A small shop in a town of the Therngo kingdom.

The bell jingled when Sapphire opened to door, walking inside.

The shop owner, Hikaru, welcomed this unfamiliar customer.

"Hello and welcome. What can I do for you today?"

"I need you to make high quality equipment for me. Can you do it?"

"I can't. I'm all out of material. Because of shortages, getting the best stuff would cost a pretty rich amount. It's not the kind of coin I have."

A hefty, brown bag appeared into Sapphire's hands, before she placed it on the counter.

"That pouch contains 987 pieces of gold. That should cover the expenses. If not, I can pay more." said Sapphire.

The man opened the pouch, laying his sight upon the numerous gold coins inside. His mign couldn't believe it, He had never had this much honor brought to his shop, even in a full years work.

"No way. That's….certainly a lot. I've never seen this many coins in person before. Who are you?" asked, Hikaru.

"Me? We've met before. I used to come here all the time." Claimed, Sapphire.

Hikaru studied her from up to down. Sapphires long black-hair, her shining blue eyes and her fancy dress wear. It wasn't anything Hikaru remmebred any previous customers having. He would've remembered an elegant customer like the one Standing in front of him.

"Sorry, I don't rememebr you."

"Right. Because back then, I had white hair. It's me, I am Amaya."

Hikaru slowly let the realization set in, this was the girl who had become a well-kown adventurer after leaving.

"Are you serious? Is that really you?! It's been while. Congrats on becoming succesfful."

It was a nice thing to say, However, Amay's conscious didn't let her accept it. To herself, he was the oposite of succsesful. Yes, she had lots of wealth now, but she had allowed many thing to go wrong the past. If she was just a little smarter or stornger, then she might've been able to prevent some of those things. The only way Sapphire saw herself was as a failure.

"Thanks." she replied.

Hikauru picked up a notebook, ready to write his customers order.

"That aside, what equipment did you need me to make you?"

Amaya had though her order through, and she intended for being as prepared as possible. If she was going to held out in the forest, she would need to use her mind to prevent most disaters from happening.

"I want a pair of thing gloves that will increase my atk. I want something that will protect me from damage, boots, chest-wear, kneepads. Also, get me a cloak with special enhancments. Then I would like special throwing dagger daggers, ten for pericing, ten for debuff of slow, ten for poison, ten for anti-regen. I want five-somke bombs. I want 3 magic explosives. I want five poison/venom antidote and five anti skill-stopper antidote. I want an anti-stun potion, wound healing potion."

It was the biggest order this weapon shop had in ages.

"It looks like it will take a day to get all of this. It might take two days at most. Luckily, the amount you gave me might inspire a few people to give me the materials faster. You can come back an tomorrow morning. There's a good chance ill have it by then."

"Okay. I'll be sure to come early, I'll see ya then." said Sapphire as she walked and disapeared into into the hole of a portal.

"A gate? She really is a legendary-ranker." said Hikaru.

(Kingdom: Ashetira | Town: Feildor )

Now that her order was set, the only thing left for Amaya to do was wait.

Untill then, it wouldn't be a good idea for her to head to the forest area.

"I hope nothing major happens untill I'm able to go. It's my goal to prevent as many deaths as possible."

And to do that, means she would have to start coming up with plans for situations that were most likley to happen.

"I will prove to myself, I can save people and survive strong enemies even without my overpowered stats."
