Natasha focused on the road. She'd currently been driving to her house, after her 'light conversation' with Jess.
She sighed deeply, thinking about what would eventually happen when her secret was revealed to a certain someone.
Minutes later she arrived at an apartment building, greeting the doorman on the way, she entered the elevator.
She watched the numbers counting up from 0 til 4 then a 'ding' was heard, the doors of the elevator opened.
Stopping at room 407 she unlocked the door. Shutting the door, hung her coat and before she could take a step further she heard a voice coming from her living room.
Knowing exactly who it was she turned on the lights only for them to reveal a woman in her late thirties sitting elegantly with a bored expression on her face.
The woman gestured for Natasha to be seated, to which the latter obeyed.
"I see you've made yourself comfortable, in my house no less."
"I have a favour to ask of you." The woman got straight to the point ignoring Natasha's comment.
"My my, is the great K asking for help from little me, a nobody?" Natasha made an innocent looking face.
"I need you to acquire an asset, they will be attending a special event tomorrow night, it's being hosted by some high ranking people so be careful in the extraction... and discreet."
"Well that sounds pretty boring K... I'd rather not kidnap some power hungry, arrogant rich guy, they're such a hassle."
Natasha sighed heavily and threw herself on the couch, facing the ceiling she covered half her face with her arm.
"Do I have to remind you what you owe?" The woman raised an eyebrow at Natasha.
Natasha shot up from the couch and glared daggers at her.
"No that won't be necessary, I'll do it."
"Good, let's get down to business, shall we?" K sat back in her seat and explained in further detail about the task given to Natasha.

Next Day.
{POV: Erin} ------
It's midday, the sky is a bright baby blue with wisps of white clouds decorating it. The weather's great, it's warm with a calming breeze in the air.
You'd think it's a great day right? Then you're life's easy, I envy you.
I've been dreading this day since morning. I woke up next to Jess.. again. Why does it keep happening?!
It's not like she doesn't have a bed to sleep on in the other TWO rooms available for use. But nooo~, she just prefers to sleep in mine.
This has to stop. I'm trying my best to not feel anything towards Jess right now.
It's obviously not working since I fall asleep in her arms every night and she acts like nothing's wrong, this cannot become my new normal.
I don't hate feeling her next to me every night, it's just... it's hard to be that close to her without remembering how we used to be.
I even made it worse! I invited her to be my plus one at the party thingy. (I rarely attend these events, they bore me.)
I can't get out of it now. However shopping for clothes for tonight wasn't bad.
Jess looked great in her suit, I liked how it matches with my dress.
Geez what am I thinking? Snap out of it Erin.
"Are you okay?" Standing at the doorway leading into the grassy backyard I saw Jess clad in basketball shorts and a black muscle shirt say something but it didn't register in my ears.
I took off my headphones and stood up from the ground. Walking closer to her I asked her to repeat what she said.
"I asked if you're okay, I've been calling you for fifteen minutes." Jess had a look of concern on her face.
"I'm perfectly fine." I failed to give an honest answer and Jess saw right through the lie.
I looked anywhere but her, my eyes landed on a bird walking on the grass about 20 feet away. She lifted my chin so I could face her.
"You're a bar liar, Erin Shaw." She crossed her arms over her chest with an expectant look on her face, waiting for a real answer.
I ignored her comment and went back in the house, I needed a distraction til tonight.
I decided to lock myself in the media room for a while until I can bottle up these feelings in a can even if it's just for tonight.
---------
*Knock knock*
"Hey Rin, you in there?" Jess awaited an answer from behind Erin's door.
I opened the door and saw Jess standing behind it. She looked more handsome than pretty with her outfit on, her hair done in a long braid down her back.
Thin black eyeliner defined her eyes, making then stand out.
"Y-yeah I'm ready, let's go.." After seeing Jess wasn't moving I waved a hand in front of her face to wake her up from her daze.
*ahem* "Yes, sorry... shall we?"
---------
The entrance of the hall had large oak wood doors that looked at least 20 cm thick. (How can they hear someone knocking then?)
Walking down a long hallway paintings of lakes, mountains and other elements of nature adorned the walls. The walls had a flawless white paint to it.
Entering the main hall it had high ceilings, large white columns, farther back there was a stage set up with red curtains.(At least there's entertainment.)
There was an open space between the stage and the many dining tables set meaning it was a dance floor.
Jess held out her arm to be linked with mine, I gladly accepted, seeing hungry eyes roaming around.
I stopped in my tracks when I heard gruff voice call my name.
"Ms. Shaw, so glad you could join us this evening."
I turned around with Jess still attached to my arm and put on a polite smile, I really tried to remember this guy's name who I don't know.
"Mr. Joe, good to see you outside of work."
After greeting him, his happy expression visibly faded.
"It's Jorah, Ms. Shaw... my name is Jorah."
Ohh, that's his name... sorry dude.
"I apologise Mr.??... Jorah?" I was unsure if I said his name right this time. Turns out I did as he grinned from ear to ear after that, more small talk then Jess and I hunted for the open bar.(..More like I did).
"Ms. Shaw, good to see you, who's your friend here?" That was the executive director of Kuro & Gold (They are military contractors).. Jason Kuro.
Oh Joy! it's him..
Well known for his looks. Tall with broad shoulders, silky beach blond hair with a strong set jaw and a pair of chrome blue eyes, but one should not forget his intellect.
He's just happens to be the first of his family to not get married by 27, although there are hundreds if not thousands of other woman who'd love to be with him, he insists that him and I have dinner.
To which I denied his request on every occasion.(He doesn't get the message yet.)
He showed his dashing smile and winked at me as he took at step closer extending his hand, asking for a dance.
I looked at him irritated before relaxing after Jess took hold of my hand and squeezed it lightly, meaning she'd handle him.
I just took a step back and sipped my drink, leaning on the bar.
"Hi, Mr??" She held out her hand to shake with his.
"Kuro, Jason Kuro.. nice to meet you, Ms??"
She retracted her hand after shaking his and stood up straight looking at Jason dead in the eye. Narrowing her eyes and scanning him up and down she replied in a deadly tone.
"Call me your worst nightmare if you keep making eyes at my girl, Kuro."
*cough cough* I nearly choked on my drink when I heard what Jess said.
After recovering from my initial shock I looked up to see Jason gone and Jess hovering over me patting my back softly.
"Wanna dance milady?" She flashed a smile.
Hesitant I took her hand and she led me to the dance floor.
Leading me in a slow waltz, her right arm at my lower back and her left hand holding my outstretched right. Jess looked straight into my eyes, She had a small smile playing on her lips.
She definitely surprised me, I had no idea she could dance. But I definitely wasn't complaining, decisive and gracefully moving she kept my eyes locked with her's.
I could not look away. Her gaze drew me in, it held so many emotions but one that stood out... longing. She held me closer, still dominating the movements, there were no need for words in this moment. It was only us and I didn't care about anything, only her eyes and what they'd told.
Time passed and the song ended, so did the daze I was in. The crowd applauded the song, a few went back to their seats and so were and but someone called to Jess..
"Excuse me, may I have this dance?" I looked curiously at the person, they looked very familiar but it was probably coincidence..
"Amelia?" Jess stood frozen in place gripping my hand harder by the second. Wait... that name, it can't be...
"No no, that name was our secret Jess, we don't reveal secrets." The woman put her index finger up to her lips signalling silence.
"Why are you here, Am-.. K, another attempt to kill me?" Jess looked like she was a lioness about to pounce on its prey, the fury in her eyes is something I'd never seen before.
"Just as I said, a dance with my dear apprentice."
"Get lost before I cause a scene painting these walls with what's left of you." Jess was almost growling as she glared at this woman who looked unbelievably like someone I knew a very long time ago.
She looked at me and I winced, I did not want to be in the middle of whatever this going to be, but I couldn't shake the feeling I know her..
"Are you going to stare, or give your dear aunt a hug?"
