Ambush

I decided to go on a walk after resting for a while to get my muscles warmed up. I had slept so long from exhausting myself, my entire body was sore.I took my weapons with me in case I wanted to gain a few levels on the walk. I came across a little girl. She said she was lost. "Do you need help finding your mommy?" She shook her head while wiping her eyes. "It's ok. Just take me to the last place you were with her at." She shook her head and began leading me. She took me off trail which, I thought was weird, but I still followed. We walked for about 10 minutes before we came to a clearing in the woods. "Is this the last place you were with her?" She shook her head no. She mumbled, "I'm sorry." and I heard a laugh from behind a tree. I looked in its direction and at the same time, at least 30 people walked out from behind the trees. Mostly men, but some women. They looked at me with death in their eyes. "Today just isn't your lucky day." One of them said. I assumed he was the leader. "I assume your gonna kill me, take my stuff, and go on about your day?" I asked with confidence in my voice. "That's right." He took a step toward me. "Sorry buddy," I said, "but that's not how this is gonna play out."
