Chapter 6 The Mad Scientist Isaac Part 2

Two years has already pasted since Isaac vowed to look for people who shared his believe.

In those two years he managed to recruit ten people, it may not seem like much but In a world ruled by belife; the number of people who shared his believes would be a few.

Rumours started to circulate around the city about an evil cult operating in the city, the news was considered as a baseless rumour at first; but one day something truly alarming happened in the city.

It was the early hours of the morning when a young man was walking down the road with disheveld hair, untidy clothes and a smug look on his face.

Martin was the heir to one of the most successful merchant companys in the city.

The reason he looked so happy this morning was because of the events of last night, he had a steamy night with a woman.

That on it's own may not seem like much of an accomplishment on it's own, but she was not just any girl she was the daughter of a noble.

As he was walking back home when he suddenly froze, he thought he heard a sound just know.

He was freaking out, "Crap there shouldn't be anyone out on the street yet" he was concerned because if someone saw him leaving a Miss Penalapy's residence at this hour; there would definitely be hell to pay.

He may be a merchants son, but even his father would not be able to help him get out of that problematic situation.

"I have to deal with this situation before it gets way out of hand" he said as he turned his head to the side to speak to the person.

Martin looked in the direction of the sound expecting to see someone standing there and staring at him, but he didn't see anyone.

All he saw was a dark alley so he walked into it very slowly, he had to make choure that there wasn't someone hiding and waiting for him so leave in order to report what they saw back to Panelapy's father.

As he walked deeper into the alley he started to smell something.

"Hmmm, is that iron," he furrowed his brows as he thought about it.

As he was in thought he failed to notice that there was something on ground in front of him and fell over it.

"Damn" he shouted as he fell on the hard ground."

"Who threw dirt here," he complain as he got of the floor and dusted himself off, when he finished he turned back to see what he tripped over.

But when he did he was frozen in fear at what he saw.

"W-wha....

He couldn't barely even speak and fell back on the ground what he saw sent a chill down his spine.

"This can't be real I'm just seeing things, you're just exhausted Martin you've had a long night now your probably just hallucinating, he was trying to console his immature mind.

As rich merchants son growing up in the city he had never been exposed to cruelties of the world, nobody could blame him.

Once he realised that he was neither dreaming or hallucinating he steadily got up while still shaking and approached the corpse.

There was a man laying on the ground he had pale gray skin and short black hair it was quite evident that he was handsome, however that was no longer the cases what layed on the ground now was but a corpse with a large and gruesome hole in his chest.

The man's heart had been removed but that wasn't the most shocking thing about the corpse, on his right shoulder there was a brand that looked like a spear.

When Martin saw the brand on the corpse's arm he couldn't believe it.
