Chapter 10 Escape Part 3

As soon as Aiden heard the rattling of the door knob, he knew he had no time. He layed back down, and petened to still be

unconscious.

He soon heard the door open, and footsteps resounding in the room. As the footsteps got closer, he started to feel more nervous. He knew what he had to do, but taking anthor person's life is not simple. It takes an incredible amount of will power to do.

He didn't know who came to take him, but what he did know was that if he allowed it to happen the outcome would not be good.

"If I don't kill them I will die"

"If I don't kill them I will die"

"If I don't kill them I will die"

Aiden told himself this inorder to justify what he was about to do, he repeated those words so many times so that could be imprinted in his mind.

As he was saying those words the footsteps stopped and he felt the restraints loosen, he knew it was time to act. When he was free from those restraints he opened his eyes, and grabbed the strander in front of him by the neck.

Aiden slammed the stranger into the ground and continued to chock them, as he looked at the person in front of him. He realised that it was a young man that seemed to be around the same age as him.

When Aiden could no longer see the light of life in the young man's eyes, he released his grip from around the man's neck.

As soon as he let go of the man, he knew something was wrong. He just killed another human being, but felt nothing. It was like there was a voide inside of him.

"I just took someone's life, but I don't feel anything. No guilt, excitement, or even any anxiety. Am I a sociopath?" he asked himself while looking at the dead body that layed in front of him.

"You should hurry up and get out here!"

"You can worry about feeling guilty later!"

When Aiden heard what the voice said he wanted to refute, but realised it was right if he didn't leave now someone might get suspicious about his whereabouts and send more people to check on him.

"Okay what should I do," he asked with a resolute look on his face.

"That's simple this facility only has two floors, the first floor and the basement. Where you are now is the basement. All you have to do is get he first floor to leave."

"Some how I don't feel it's as simple as you make it seem," said Aiden as he thought about it carefully. Theirs no way a facility as advanced as this has not form of security.

"Don't you know about what security systems they have in place, like how many guards this place has or if they have some sort of servalance system," said Aiden in a questioning tone.

"They have no form of servalance only a few guards that patrol the area outside the facility."

"The security in this place seems to lax why?" Aiden asked with a look of confusion on his face, because no matter how he thought about it seemed like they didn't put much importance on this facility's security. If he was hiding from the government he would make shoure all his hideouts were well protected.

"The reason is simple this facility's security system makes use of keycards, without it entering or existing this place becomes impossible."

"Mmm" when Aiden heard that he looked over to the corpse laying on the tiled floor. He went over to the corpse and started to search it's pockets for anything useful.

All he found on the corpse was a keycard and a notebook. He left the notebook alone for now and turned his attention to the supposed keycards, he said supposed because it had no information on it. He turned the card around to check the otherside but there was only a symbol on it.

The card had a symbol of a three headed snake on it. He couldn't figure out what it represented and decided to put it in his pocket.

He looked at the corpse and and thought for a second, "I should probably change my clothes" he said as he turned from the corpse to look at his own clothes. "These clothes will definitely make me stick out."

When Aiden finished thinking about it, he decided to take the man clothes inorder to blend in with the rest of the staff in this facility.

Five minutes later Aiden was dressed in a white lab coat and black pants. He looked at himself and said, " I shouldn't draw any attention to myself in this." Once he put away the keycard and notebook, he decided it was time to leave this place.
