"Come out"
When Aiden heard those words his heart started to palpertate, blood rushed thought his body at an alarming rate. He was starting to panick.
The words spoken filled Aiden with dread, he wished the person had simple not noticed him and just walked away instead of stopping. From the way the man was dressed Aiden could tell he was most likely one of the guards Elizabeth told him about.
The guard around the corner was one of this facility's thirty seven Death Guards. They were notorious for their merciless nature. The Death Guards had only one mission and that was to protect The Dark Triad at all cost.
That's all Elizabeth told him about them. She warned him about encountering them, and explicitly told him to avoid them at all cost.
The situation couldn't be worse. If the person that appeared was simple one of the researchers Aiden first saw when he regained conscious in this place, he could have avoid them or killed them if the situation called for it. But dealing with a trained professional equipped with a ranged weapon was a different matter entirely.
"Okay Aiden calm down and think of something"
Aiden leaned against the wall as he was trying to figure out a solution to his predicament.
As Aiden stood there pondering over what to do, he heard the sounds of footsteps nearing him. It seemed the guard was unsatisfied with Aidens lack of response.
As his heart rate started to increase, and it seemed as though he would start panicking again, a thought suddenly struck him. "The guard around the corner shouldn't know who he is, nor what every researcher in this facility looks like. All I have to do is act like someone that works in this laboratory."
"Come on Aiden, you can do this. What is the worse that could happen," he said trying to console himself.

The guard called for the person hiding around the corner to step out, but he received no response.
He was Number Thirteen of the thirty seven Death Guard's. They were never called by name simply by number, for they have abandoned it a long time ago. The members of the death guard had only one duty and that was to protect the organization.
No matter whether it be from external or internal threats. They would eliminate it without any hesitation.
The guard drew his his weapon and slowly approached the corner, but right in that moment the person hiding around the corner step out.

Aiden stepped out from around the corner with a nervous smile on his face as he looked at the guard. He decided to play the part of a young and naive research assistant.
"Hi." Aiden greeted the guard in a friendly manner, while scratching the back of his head nervously.
He guard remained silent simply observing the young man in front of him.
"Who are you?" Thirteen asked in an emotionless tone.
Aiden looked at the guard for a second before replying brefily.
"I...I'm Professor Henry's assistant, h-he asked me to fetch some equipment form the storage room."
Aiden had already come up with a story to get out of this situation. When he was having a discussion with Elizabeth earlier, he learnt a few things about this place. One of them was that two of the Triads best researchers was stationed in this facility. Doctor Gerald and Professor Henry.
