chapter eight: when

jimin had woken up to the sound of his bickering members outside the room, though he tried to go back to sleep, it was no use due to the loud voices of the others.

"can you guys shut up? there's a member who wants to sleep in peace, you know?" jimin yelled as he walked through the chaos that was happening in the living room.

all looked at him, as jimin sat at their couch he felt almost everyone staring at him, maybe shocked since its not everyday that jimin would wake up with a bad morning.

"what?" jimin asked, quite annoyed from the staring.

jin was the first one to question about it, "what's up with you? you usually wake up all smiley and chatty." he went to jimin and sat next to him on the couch.

"i'm not on a bad mood, you're all just so noisy." he said, standing up and going to the kitchen to eat breakfast.

the others went to do their own thing, some were playing games, some were just relaxing on the couch while jimin sat silently in the kitchen, eating his cereal.

"we have dance practice tomorrow, so be ready." namjoon's voice echoed from the living room, stopping jimin from eating another spoonful of cereal.

jungkook and jin headed to jimin, seating on each side of his, "why don't you invite hyerin tomorrow to watch us?" jungkook smiled innocently.

jimin looked at jin then to jungkook, eyeing them both cautiously, having second thoughts wether he should invite her or not, "why should i do that? she might be busy?" jimin shrugged.

"c'mon jimin, it'll be fun. just ask her or

something, who knows she might not be busy." jin persuaded the younger member, signaling jungkook to do the puppy eyes.

jungkook was whispering a no but to bad since jin was older, he had no choice but to do it anyways, making his eyes bigger he turned to look at jimin, "and i really want to hang out with her more, and i know you want to as well." he attempted to act cute.

jimin looked at him with disgust, wondering with what's the sudden cute act of the youngest member, "fine, i'll go ask her." he stood up from his chair and headed to his room, hearing the cheers of the two as he walked away.

he went to his bed, grabbing his phone from his desk on the way and plopped his self on it, going through his contacts, he found hyerin and clicked on it, should i really do it? he debated with his self, ready to press the call button.

without further notice he pressed it, quite shock with his actions as well, what shocked him more was when the girl answered the call, "hello?"

he placed his phone nearer to his ear and cleared his throat, "it's me, jimin."

he didn't know why he was suddenly nervous, he was just talking to hyerin, and hyerin was just a completely normal person he met, "oh, hey its you. is there any reason you called?"

hearing hyerin's voice just gave flutters to him, he suddenly felt as if he was indeed talking to such an important person, well maybe she is.

"well i was wondering if you would want to watch our dance practice, it might be quite boring and all but you know not everyone exactly gets to watch it, wait, you don't have to be greatful, god, what am i even saying? i'm sorry if i keep on rambling —" jimin was frustrated as how he kept on saying such random words that wouldn't make sense.

"hey, its fine. i'll try, i'm not sure though." hyerin chuckled on the other line, sending butterflies to jimin's stomach, "i might have something to do but i'll really try, i promise i will."

"you don't have to if you're busy, i'll go end the call now." he smiled to his self, "take care of yourself, see you soon, i guess." he laughed to his self, smiling widely when he heard a laugh from the other line.

"see you soon, jimin." hyerin said before jimin ended the phone call.

jimin smiled like an idiot as his hand gripped on his phone tighter, feeling all happy and giddy after the phone call he had with hyerin, he rolled over and buried his face om the pillow, trying to control his inner feelings.

-

"noona, why don't you go to the doctor?" jaehyun asked as he finished the food left on his plate.

it was few days after hyerin's headache incident and ever since she had been getting quite few of them from time to time, sometimes even blacking out for a while.

"i'm fine, i'm just tired." she smiled, yawning as she rubbed her eyes, trying to seem well for her younger cousin, "no need for doctors."

the girl grew paler over the past few days, bags were seen under her eyes, making it obvious of how tired she has been, "i need to go now, minhee will be here any minute, can you wait for her by yourself?" hyerin bent to kiss her cousin's head before slightly messing it.

"of course i can, i'm already old after all." jaehyun exclaimed making hyerin smile, "take care noona, i'll give you a power booster." he smiled before giving a smack on hyerin's cheek.

hyerin acted to feel more energized than before and smiled widely at her cousin, "woah, i feel so strong now. i gotta go now, see you later." she walked away, a smile faintly stayed on her face.

she was walking when she passed by minhee, "oh hyerin, when will you come home later?" minhee greeted her.

"i don't know yet, but about 8 i guess? is it alright for you to stay that long?" she asked, remembering her and jimin's phone call yesterday.

"it's fine, can i take him outside? to the mall or to the park, maybe?" minhee asked.

"of course you can." both said their goodbyes before walking to different directions.

hyerin went to her first job at the coffee shop, entering she was quickly greeted by her other workmates, waving a simple hello to her direction, "you can go home early today, remember when you helped me? i'm returning the favor today." junho, one of her acquaintance in the shop said.

"really? thank you." hyerin was ecstatic with hearing those words, she immediately fixed herself as she took her job in the cashier, greeting every customer with a smile as they entered.

she was in the middle of work when she felt a slight pain at the back of her head, shrugging it off, she proceeded to do her work, "is that all your order ma'am?" she asked with a forced smile, trying her best to hide the pain she was feeling.

the customer hummed in response as hyerin gave the order to junho, "here's the order." she said before going to one of the other people working, "can you take the cashier for a while? i just need few minutes." she asked, the woman she asked politely nodded.

hyerin went to the staff room, clutching her head slightly as the pain just kept on growing bigger, "it hurts so bad." she whimpered to herself, it took a while before her knees completely gave out causing hyerin to fall onto her knees.

phone, she needed her phone, she needed help so bad.

grabbing her phone from the front pocket of her jeans, she tried to focus her vision, but it was too blurry for her to even read out the names in her contact list, who was i supposed to call?

pressing the first contact on her recent, she was able to make a call, jimin, it was him.

"hyerin? are you coming already? i mean, i could always just tell the boys to practice earlier? hey, hyerin? are you still there?" jimin's voice echoed from the other line, quite worried why hyerin wasn't responding.

"ji-jimin, i-i- please help m-me." she managed to let out.

"what? what's wrong? where are you? i'll come and get you." it was obvious of how he was in frantic, hearing the girl's whimpering on the other line managed to put jimin in such panic, "are you still there?"

"coffee shop, near the restaurant i worked for." she said.

she wanted to say more, she wanted to say what was going on, but she can't.

"ple-please." hyerin said out, finally letting her tears to fall out from her eyes.

"i'm coming, hang in—" hyerin wasn't able the rest of what he said, as she dropped the phone because of too much pain, she was helpless, should i call for help? she asked, but she couldn't manage to let out a noise, just quiet whimpers that were desperately trying to ask for help.

he'll come soon, he'll help me.
