I watch Rias' expressions as she watches the TV screen and smile.

We proceeded to watch in comforting silence for a while longer until eventually Rias thanked me and soon left.

I couldn't bother to care for Ddraig and promptly went to bed.

Rias woke up the next morning only to see Sona wake her up with baggy eyes.

She rubbed her eyes in an attempt to make the drowsiness go away when Sona said,

"Issei Hyodou was found dead at the park this morning."

"Eh?! How?!"

"He was actually found by a regular person."[1]

"What!"

Sona sighs before fixing her glasses

"Yes, unfortunately it was too late to mindwipe all the citizens and his death has already been broadcast."

"Shit!"

"He was impaled with a light spear, and his corpse was left at the scene."

"...Fallen?"

"We believe so."

"When did he die....?"

"Sometime around yesterday afternoon."

Rias' eyes widened, her breath became a bit shaken as a stray thought worked itself into her head before she decided to push it down til she was able to confirm it.

"...are you okay?"

"Yeah, yeah, I'm fine."

"...Alright."

Sona looks suspicious but quickly decides to dismiss it and Rias quickly decides to leave and headed towards where Issei was killed.

At the scene around the fountain there were dozens of police investigators and some reporters as well.

Rias was rapidly scanning the scene with her eyes until she saw it.

Stuck onto a tree nearby the scene was one of her summoning circle.

'He was the one who tried to summon me yesterday...'

She felt immense guilt as this not only happened in her own territory, he even tried to summon her for help!

This was her fault!

Rip Issei.

I arrived at school only to see the dreary attitude, most of the school children were deeply shocked that one of their classmates was brutally murdered.

And a lot of students didn't even show up today.

The other members of the perverted trio didn't arrive today.

While at the start of class they had an announcement about it and warned other students to not stay out late and stay safe.

School soon ended and I decided to head to the Occult Research Club.

I walked out towards the second hidden building located on school grounds.

As I closed in on it I felt a light tingle.

...another barrier.

With EMIYA's knowledge of mage craft and Minato's of seals I was able to decipher that the barrier was used to alert the people inside of someone approaching.

I knocked on the door only to be greeted by the Kuoh Academy 'Prince' Yuuto Kiba, He seemed a bit confused as why I was there and was about to tell me to leave when a voice sounded out from within,

"Ara~ Ara~ So this is the one Rias has been sneaking off to~."

Hey guys, sorry for no updates I have been super busy lately and haven't really had a chance to write. I posted this shorter chapter to say, no, I haven't dropped the novel.

Sorry for the short chapter and slow updates, expect more soon.

[1] I let regular people find his corpse like this since, Raynare was going to straight up just leave his corpse there without even bothering to extract his sacred gear like with Asia.

Also I wanted Issei to die without Rias helping so she would grow up a bit more out of guilt, since his death was technically because she didn't notice the fallen in her territory or answer his summoning.
