Chapter 1: The First Adventure

Everyone has gone now, there's nothing to see but nothingness itself...
The wind howls no longer on this plain of existence, no time, no space...
Everything is so much more... Empty.
There's No-One Left to keep me company, no book left to read; No more stories left to tell.
This unending silence is deafening... And I'm worried it's driving me to insanity...
Wait! What?!?.... I Hear A Voice: It's so distant, but it's more than I've ever had before!
"Where Is Everyone.... everything?!.... What Horrible thing Happened in this Timeline?" The voice was distant, but it was there!
I have to say something, I have to let him know he's not the only one here... I need someone to talk to... Anyone....
"HELLO!!!! CAN YOU HEAR ME?!" I projected my voice as loud as I could, maybe the universe would finally grant me some mercy?
"OMG, How can anything even exist in this plain of existence?!? This is supposed to be a void world!" The distant voice sounded surprised

I Just don't understand it... I was entirely baffled, I'd built my entire base in this universe; there were and still aren't any read outs of... anything! Not in this void universe anyway!
My growing Curiosity got the better of me, I had to ask this... being... I could discover so much, help so many!
"Hello?!" I exclaimed to what was seemingly nothingness "What's Your Name, My Dood?"
"It's been a while since I've been asked that, I was close to forgetting the answer! It's Henry!" The void around me seemed to respond in answer to my question!
I was still dumbstruck that anything could even exist... but then the idea dawned on me: and seeing as this being seemed friendly, I needed to ask...
"What On Earth Happened Here?!?" My Heart Was Dreading What The Answer Could Be...
"Getting right to it... I like you already" he replied jokingly with a subtle snicker.... but then, his voice grew serious and with an air of wisdom I couldn't possibly put into words...
"It all started around 10 million years ago..." he'd only just started, but you could already hear the sadness in his words "In this World, This Void Universe wasn't always empty; There were people, animals... hell even objects..."
"But human nature takes over, it always does... we started the same as many other earths: we built weapons, small things at first (spears, bows, guns)... but as technology advanced, so did the weapons used to kill, to hurt..."
"Our Earth Build A Weapon so powerful, it could reverse the expanse of the Big Bang itself and cause it to shrink to nothingness again: And Stay that way too"
"As I'm sure you can see, they used it... all those people!..." You could hear this person begin to break down, trying not to burst out into tears...
"I... I'm... so sorry, the fact that you've even had to bare this burden alone for all these years..." I'd forgotten about my original idea to work with this person to advance our own world, I couldn't help but see him as a brother, a fellow human who had survived and endured so much pain...
"I have a base built in this void, me and 2 of my best friends work there... how would you like to join us in defending the timeline, every timeline if possible... we could use the help..." I started, but then I realised, sometimes, all anybody really wants is honesty...
"... and to be perfectly honest, you've gone through so much for so long, why don't you come share the burden out: you're not alone anymore... Brother."
