Part 1

'Eileen, Severus what are you waiting for....come on its already late.'

'Coming, Tobias can you wait a sec'. "Stupid girl", Tobias muttered and stormed inside.

'Who the hell you think you are' Tobias snapped. 'You don't talk lady, you listen'. Then a resounding slap shook the house. Severus scampered inside the car whimpering in fear. Eileen noticed, held his hand and gave a smile through her swollen cheeks.

'Mom where are we going' Severus whispered.

'To the zoo, Severus as your birthday surprise.'

'Complete waste of money' Tobias muttered and took a sharp turn inviting cuss words from all drivers nearby.'

'We are here, everyone. get down.' Tobias looked behind and yelled.

Tobias looked at Eileen and gave a hateful glare at her after she got down.

'Why don't you do us all a favour and put your "wizardry" to use by repairing your hideous face.'

'Sure' Eileen Muttered. 'Episkey' Eileen chanted.

'Well at least its less hideous.' Tobias laughed and drove off. He did not have time to "waste" with his family.

'Come Severus, let's go watch some birds.'

'Mum can I do what you did.' Severus said with awe in his eyes.

She was caught off-guard. ' What, honey.'

'Can I be as special like you .' Severus asked sadly.

Eileen stopped at her tracks and crouched to meet his eyes.

'You don't need to be like me to be special. You already are. You are my Half-Blood Prince.'

She kissed him on his head and took his hand as they walked towards the birds section.

'Look mum, a golden bird. What is his name' He asked excitedly.

'That's not a muggle bird !!! It's a Phoenix.' She exclaimed.

The man standing near the cage heard her and walked towards her.

'Hey, lady what are you doing here.' He said hatefully

He was wearing a pinstriped suit and had a cigar in his right hand.

'Where did you get this phoenix, wizard. The Ministry does not allow magical creatures in the muggle world.' She said angrily.

'Good to know miss, I hope you are not from ministry.'

'No, I am not.'

Ok then. Stupefy.

Eileen fell down. Severus rushed towards her.

'Mum!! Somebody help.' He Screamed

'No one can hear you kid, now for your turn.' He gave a wicked grin.

'Stup..' His wand flew off his hand.

'What in the Earth.' He exclaimed.

A wall of fire rose between Severus and the man. Severus eyes had a green unearthly glow. He had his mother's wand in his hand.

The man vanished in a blink.

Severus quickly kept the wand in the original place and ran to bring some water oblivious of the two sharp eyes staring at him from the corner.
