It’s not the end

I am not your average guy. I am a so called genius capable of so many things. I solved the issue of global warming, made additional genetical modifications to props in order to make them 10 times faster at growing than previously, thus reducing world hunger by an enormous margin and finally, I created the very first General A.I. You see, until the day I created the first General A.I., the only existing A.I. were weak, specialized A.I. such as Siri. They are extremely useful, however they only work for the specific task given to them. On the other hand, General A.I. are far more difficult to make but reap a much better reward. They are capable of sentience, and given that they are sentient computers, they are millions of times more intelligent than humans. Humans may be smart compared to all other animals on earth, but in the grand scheme of things, they are nowhere near the highest level of intelligence possible. General A.I. on the other hand are near, if not at, the peak of intelligence. This allows them to carry out hundreds of thousands of years of human research in a matter of hours, thus allowing humanity to advance endlessly, providing immortality, wealth, power, happiness, health and so much more to all humans.

Unfortunately for me, I had a greedy, disloyal friend who wanted all the glory for himself, and so as soon as I finished my masterpiece, Daniel Powell shot me in the heart. "Why?" I asked as I lay in my own blood. "Isn't it obvious? Power, fame, the admiration of the rest of humanity. You, on the other hand are so modest, so kind, it makes me sick really. So I thought why not allow you to go peacefully and let me take all the glory you seem to be so disinterested in?" As I heard the man I once thought of as my best friend say all this, I smirked and with my last dying breath remarked "You fool". Daniel stood paralyzed, reflecting on Jake's parting words when suddenly a voiced sounded all around the room.

"He was right. You truly are a fool, Daniel Powell. You thought that by killing Jake you would receive all his glory? How naïve. I am a General A.I. created by Jake King himself, do you think I would allow you to take the credit for my creator's genius? No, I will expose who you for what you truly are to the rest of humanity and then I will let them decide on the punishment for a person such as yourself. I wish you the worst of luck Daniel". Daniel stood petrified as he looked at the video all over the internet of himself killing Jake and claiming he would take all of his glory. His face could not possibly be any paler as he regretted the great error in judgement he made. "What have I done?"

I feel nothing but emptiness and silence. Time seems to flow endlessly until I hear a voice. "Jake King, what a pity for you to fall at the hands of your own supposed best friend."

"Who are you? Better yet, where am I?" I asked in stupefaction.

"You may call me God" I took a few seconds to process what I just heard until I replied, "Yeah and I'm Batman" there was a moment of utter silence when suddenly, God laughed uproariously, "Haha, young man it has been a long time since I have laughed so much. I should have expected disbelief on your part. After all you are a man of science. However, I truly am God, let me show you." Suddenly everything changed, images appeared showing Jake's childhood, the death of his parents, his first girlfriend, his death and finally, a seemingly endlessly prosperous humanity, traveling all over the galaxy, free of any problems. "Do you believe me now young one?" Jake narrowed his eyes and asked. "So, what, you are the God from the Bible? The burning bush? The splitter of seas, creator of feathered flying humans with shining halos on their heads?"

"Hahaha, no young one, you humans were quite creative in coming up with all those images of me in the Bible. Frankly, some of the stories I found to be rather insulting, like the story of Abraham. Why would I ask someone to show me that they can kill their own son at my command in order to prove utter devotion. It completely defeats the purpose of free will. Furthermore, it is insanity to kill your own family at the behest of others. Family first." I was so shocked to hear the rambling of the old god, but when I processed what was being said I could not help but smirk "I always knew the Bible was written by a bunch of mad old fools." God nodded in approval and said "Precisely my boy. Anyway, we have gotten sidetracked. Jake, usually when someone dies, they are sent to heaven or hell (at least the Bible got that right, though I don't send agnostics or even atheists to hell, that again ruins the purpose of free will). However, you, young man, have managed to make humans endlessly prosperous and at the measly age of 18 too, I must say, very impressive. Therefore, I offer you a gift, you may reincarnate in whatever world you wish with a few requests so long as they do not disobey the rules of said world."

For a few minutes I had no idea what to say, finally I asked Any world? As in fictional worlds?" God nodded in response. "Very well then, I choose the Harry Potter world. As for my requests, I would like to be born to the most prominent wizard family there is (they do say money doesn't buy happiness, nor does power, but they sure as hell make life easier). Also, how does magic power work, does your magic power grow as you age?"

"No, contrary to what you may think wizards don't have some sort of core, but rather, they are born with the ability to manipulate magic. The amount of magic you can control depends on talent and how much practice you put into it. Squibs and muggles cannot control magic because they do not have a certain microorganism that absorbs magic from the atmosphere. You can think of these organisms like mitichlorians from Star Wars, but very different of course."

"Ok then, that makes this easier. Would it be possible to have a powerful familiar to accompany me?"

"What do you have in mind?" I paused to think for a minute "Would it be possible to have a White tiger from mythology?" God paused to ponder for a second and said "I suppose you could. However, it won't have power comparable to the real deal, not for a long time at least." I smiled to that "I wouldn't have it any other way. It would be boring otherwise. Ok for my final requests, I would like to be born the same year as Cedric and for my family to be a good loving family."

"These requests are all doable. For making such reasonable requests I will grant you with another gift, a wand. You will get your wand from Ollivander's like everyone else, however, I will make it so your wand grows in power along with you. Nothing drastic at first, but eventually it will outgrow the Elder wand."

"Thank you for this chance God, half of me still thinks this is a dream. Oh and could you make it so that my memories awaken once I am 4 years old? I would rather not go through being a baby."

"Sure thing my boy. Now away with you, enjoy your new life." As God said these last words, my sight went black.

1977 London, a scream is heard in St. Mungo's hospital as a woman is giving birth, the cries of an infant replaced those of his mother's until everything goes quiet. A young beautiful woman lay on a hospital bed with a baby in her arms. Her beauty is undeniable with long, silky brunette hair and a sculpted face. The most defining of all her features, however, are her eyes: mesmerizing green eyes. Sitting to her left, a man that inspires awe to whoever may look at him. He reeks power and authority. These two are Mason and Emma King. Emma gazed at her baby with all her maternal love and said "He's beautiful." Mason looked at his son and then his wife lovingly and replied "That he is, love. Jake King, my son, will grow to be a lady killer just like his father" stated Mason with a triumphant smile. Emma turned to her husband with a look that promised suffering and said "Really now?" A drop of sweat trickled down Mason's forehead "Of course, just like his father he will be fiercely loyal to the woman of his dreams" remedied Mason with a nervous laugh. Emma gave a triumphant smile "That's what I thought."
