Chapter 3 Uh Oh

The dream that Zach thought was a lie became true. Ms. Yuri now was not what she seemed to act like in the past. Now she was exactly like the dream that Zach had. The horns that curved and came to a point at the top, the smokey black like tail curving and swaying back and forth, the dog like legs covered in black fur, and the scary part of all was the eyes, purple slits that was accompanied by the purple slashes on her cheeks. She didn't notice him, she kept sighing and thats when Zach noticed when she brought her hands up to her face to have be a chin rest. Her hands were completely black and her finger tips were claw like. But yet, there was something about her. Zach noticed that she was looked very frustrated, she kept rubbing the bridge of her nose and looking up at the cross. "Why did it have to be this way..." She muttered under her breath.

Zach was still amazed and frightened at the same time. But he knew that sneaking out with out her noticing was going to be the hardest part. He began hugging the wall as he went down the stairs. But as every plan that Zach had ever had failed. He bumped into the crash cymbals, knocking them off their stand. "Shit!" He said in a high pitch voice. When he looked up to see Ms. Yuri she wasn't there anymore. "Zach please don't scream." Her voice said wearily. He looked behind him to see her standing there. "But you-" He began to say. She looked down "I know" She said as her gaze shifted down. "Please Zach, I promise you guys everyday for everything, now it's my turn to ask a promise. Don't tell anyone please." Ms. Yuri sounded scared while she said it. "You remember when I said I don't know if I could trust you? Well this is what I meant." She said. She reached out a hand to help Zach pick up the cymbals. "But how?" He blurted out. She looked over at him then changed form again into the director that Zach knew and loved. "Did you figure it out yet?" She said ignoring his question. He shooked his head in honesty. "No I don't." She smiled. "Then keep it that way." She said as she went to grab her glasses from the stand. "Now go on run to class, you'll run late." She said calmly.

Zach carefully walked out the door but he looked through the glass window on the door to see her go into her office to sit. She put her hands on the desk and sat there for a minute. But Zach knew that his classes were starting. So he went down to his chemistry. But when he opened the door the whole class didn't stare at him when he did. It was because the bell didn't ring yet and a subsitute teacher sat at Mrs. Rodway's desk.

"Hello class!" He said loud and clear. " I am Mr. Miller, as you probably already know your teacher has gone missing. I am sorry for that to happen to you at such a young age, but until she is found and gets back to work I will be your teacher for the time being." Mr. Miller didn't look like he taught science. He was too buffy and looked like he was a gym coach with the tee shirt he wore. "Alright now, what lesson are you guys on?" Nobody had said anything. They were either depressed about the disappearance or they simply just didn't care. Zach however was scrolling through his phone looking for what Ms.Yuri could possibly be. However, nothing showed up. But when he typed horn creature. The autocorrect corrected as 'horny' and a long list of sexually committed animals had popped up. He freaked out and deleted his search and went to the history and deleted everything. He looked up at his teacher and saw his dissaproving look among the students. "It's the last day of school sir." A girl piped up. The teacher's tone had changed to realization. "Sit on your phones then, I forgot my bad." When the word phone was realeased everyone was going through there bags to grab the most prized possesion that they had ever owned.

Zach continued his research. When he did he then searched up 'half dog like' all that popped up was wolves. He then tried 'purple eyed creature' a bunch of random animals with purple eyes popped up. He gave in for he would have to use an actual website. The bell rang and he left to go to band. When he did Ms. Yuri was at the door to greet everyone coming in. When she saw Zach nothing changed she still acted like her old self. "Good evening Zach!" She said with a smile. After he walked into the storage about everyone was already in the storage room getting their instruments. Ms. Yuri propped the door. and walked to the center of the room. "Put your instruments away guy you'll have tonight to practice at the rehearsal. I will hand out the music for marching band season and have it playing over the sound speaker, it is called 'River Of Redemption'" Everyone watched her. "what is the story to it?" Asked Anna the section leader of the clarients. Ms. Yuri smiled "I'm glad you asked that because I'm going to tell you." Everyone leaned in closer. "River of Redemption is a story of a man who commits murder, but it wasn't his fault as he was falsely accused. He tried to plead to the court saying he wasn't guilty but they gave him a punishment to walk along the river until he reached his final destination." Everyone gasped. "What's the final destination?" Ms. Yuri smiled. "That is only for me and Carson Teps to know." A trombone player leaned over to Zach "I bet you we can get it out of Carson, that drill writer likes us some much he would tell us." Zach looked at his fellow trombone player. "What makes you think that Gavin?" He asked tilting his head. Gavin shrugged "Isn't it obvious? We are his best band." He said with a chuckle. "Or he knows we are the best band he has and he wants as a suprise." Zach said looking back at Ms. Yuri. "Yeah that could be too." Gavin said. "I will hook up the speakers so I can play it for you guys." Ms. Yuri said hooking up the computer. "Jenny can you turn on the speaker?" The quiet girl nodded and pressed the button on both speakers. "Alright the first scene is telling you the beginning of what had happened." When it started an eerie melody began to play. Then at the end of the pre show a scream shrieked then died down. A big hit with the band started by going up and back down in notes. Then a blare of clustered notes. It grew quiet then a flute melody could be heard among the low whole note of the clarinets. Some kids smiled. The flute players however struck in fear for they knew the high and low notes were an ass to change back and forth. The trombones with their "duts" matching the The battery. I could describe the rest. But the narrator says screw it because it's too hard. When the scene had ended most stood in excitement others didn't know what to make of it. The bell rang and everyone got out of their seats. "Have a good day kids happy last day of school!" Ms. Yuri said as she prepared for her Jazz class to start.

Zach got out of his seat left through the doors of the mysterious band room and left for geometry with Mrs. Eather. the only way that Zach could describe Mrs. Eather was a gluttony whinney person. The teacher was round with short dirt blonde hair, she never wore a dress. It was always a black hoodie with a skirt on. Mrs. Eather had no respect for any student no matter who they were. She always had viewed herself as the top dog around the high school, but she knows her place. Whether she liked it or not. "Alright kids, today do nothing I don't give a damn." Zach was never suprised when Mrs.Eather cussed, the woman just never cared.

Zach began to look again but this time he looked up 'smokey tail creature' but yet again fan art of wolves popped up. He gave up again. The pressure was too much on Zach, he wanted to know so badly what she was. But maybe she was right about it being best to be not known. But Zach's heart kept aching because he wanted to know so badly. So he started to think of clues. But the day had passed so quickly that it didn't dawn on him til the seventh hour of the day. When he was in english and a kid talking to a teacher about some religious beliefs. The teacher herself was talking about Heaven and Hell and the difference. Although it isn't allowed to be talked about in school some exceptions are allowed when a student asks.

The teacher set somethings off in Zach's head that made him believe that Ms. Yuri was indeed the creature that crawled from the depths of hell. It made logical sense to Zach, Ms. Yuri was staring at a cross because she can't touch it, her whispering weird words was old english, it's the way they communicate, and then the shifting to different appearances all of it now screams one word to Zach and even with Popes of churches get frighten of it. His band director was a demon.
