Let there be fire in the rain.

It was the last week of band camp, the clashing of music on the field made Zach queasy. But most of it was due to the sun beating down on him. Ms. Yuri stood as if she were on edge, it would make sense, after all, the priest did piss her off. "What form was that?!" She said with an annoyed tone. "I have no clue." Said Matt, Zach was about to say something. But was cut off by people running to the scary pulse-raising word "Reset". Nothing was scarier then Ms. Yuri still pissed and her yelling reset, and those two aren't good combinations either way. The cheerleader, who were doing their warmups on the track, stood in disbelief. This set had continued for two hours until the water break was called. Watching the teenagers rushing to their jug of water made Ms. Yuri crack a smile. "After the water break, I need to see drum majors at the podium."

Four people arose from the ground and walked towards her. Zach was watching Ms. Yuri ever so slightly. He was terrified of her now, but he doesn't hold it against her. It wasn't necessarily her fault anyway or was it? Then the message that ticked everyone "Attention! Everyone your water breaks will have to wait, we are moving inside." Everyone was distraught. "This is our field now why should we move Eliot!" An alto saxophone yelled. The drum major shook his head. "You'll have to speak to Ms. Yuri, she knows and soon you'll find out in a moment." While everyone made there way to the band room. Ms. Yuri stood by where the bleacher

steps met the ground and stood gazing at the children. Then it fell on Zach and Danny as they walked passed. "Is she ok? She's not acting herself..." Danny said as he got closer in fear towards Zach. "I think the priest still made her mad." 'But would it matter now?' Zach thought to himself. 'She ended it all, is she not pleased?' It then clicked for Zach. She failed at trying to be friendly, she failed at being a role model, she failed in her eyes as a band director.

As the band made their way into the school, Ms. Yuri was nowhere to be found in the gym like they were suppose to be. But as they all gathered in sectionals, a drum major called for Zach. Zach put his trombone down and jogged towards her. "What's up Grace?" He said as he approached the assistant drum major who was holding the score to their music. She looked up at him, adjusting her glasses to see him. "Ms. Yuri wants to see you Zach." Zach nodded and made his way down to the band room where Zach saw Ms. Yuri in the band office with her hands over her face, elbows on the desk, and her whole body leaning on the hands. She was stressed out because of the other day. "I have done some thinking..." she said muffled. "Next year you'll be senior as I figure much, what happened the other day...Do you want it gone?" Zach shifted his balance "partially" his teacher raised her head slightly to show the purple piercing eyes. "What do you mean partially?" Zach shifted uncomfortably as he felt the room become tenser. "Well... Can you replace memories?" Ms.Yuri began to eye the boy with suspicion. "And what if I could? Why would you need me to do it?" Zach crossed his arms. "Because I want to remember my teacher coming to my aid, not what happens after it." Ms.Yuri's tension in her eyes had softened and turned back to hazel. "If I do, will you never speak of it again?" Zach nodded "I swear on my life." Ms.Yuri then turned to Zach and stood up. "Look into my eyes then." When Zach made eye contact her eyes shifted again. In her pupils, he could see the replaced memories, starting one by one. When he turned away the teacher's eyes stopped and turned back. "There, what do you remember of the night?" Zach looked up at his teacher. "The priest tried to get answers, and you came to my aid, and the cops came and misfired the gun and it killed Father John." Ms. Yuri nodded. "Go back to the gym Zach."

Ms.Yuri then removed herself from the office. As Zach proceeded to the gym, Ms. Yuri had other ideas. She stood by the cabinet which held the concert music and started to put some away. It was nearing the end of rehearsal, and parents were coming into watch. However, one parent had other ideas, Danny's father had decided to come to the band room drunk as ever. He stumbled in with a beer in his hand and a stained white top with jean shorts. He looked miserable, he was scratching his beard as the hairs came trickling down. "Are you the damn band director?" Ms. Yuri looked down as she was on the ladder putting books away. "Indeed I am sir, what can I do for yah?" She said as she came down the ladder. she clasped her hands and held them down, "I want my kid out of your useless band!" Ms.Yuri smiled "Poor choice of words sir, my band isn't useless." Danny's dad got up in the director's face. "Listen here bitch, I decide when your band is useless or not you got that?" Ms. Yuri only stood intense as she always was. "You have it all wrong sir, I decide when my band is useless or not... not you." She said calmly. Danny came into the band room finding the intense conversation. He began shaking again and ran up the stairs to the storage room where his dad was unable to see him. "I also decide who can stay in my band room, so please take your leave!" Ms. Yuri said pointing at the doors. Danny's dad then breathed heavily on the teacher, "Make me..." Danny peeked out of the storage room to see Ms. Yuri looking at him. He shook his head, and Ms. Yuri relax. "If you don't leave right now, I will call the cops for threatening an innocent and driving drunk." His father then turned around and saw Danny peeking out from the storage. "Get down here..." He grumbled Danny didn't move. "I said get down here." Danny shook his head, it was the worst thing that he could've done. "No" He whispered quietly. His dad made a B line straight to his kid and smacked him in the face. Ms.Yuri tensed up and wanted to move her way to her student. But Danny held his hand up telling her 'don't come to me'. So she stayed put watching her student, shy as can be, being dragged out by his father. She stood there unable to feel the energy in which she saw. "Unbelievable..." She said taking off her glasses and rubbing her nose. "Unbelievable sick human beings!" She then yelled as she began grabbing her face and her hair.

She could feel herself shifting, becoming angry. She fell to the floor and the space around filled with black, and the purple abyss. As writings appear in the air as she broke down. words like "Revenge?" and "Deserve" Ms. Yuri was in her thinking space. After having been shocked again and again by unknown forces where no one could see her, "Deserve Revenge?" She thought, she then began to laugh. "That bastard will die like the rest!" She said as the abyss faded back to the band room, and Ms. Yuri was left with a smile across her face as she put her glasses on. She knew what she was going to do tomorrow, and she was quite pleased as well. When she stood up she stopped, her smile faded "What about Danny?" she asked herself as band kids began walking in and grabbing their stuff and leaving. Zach was the last to come in, and even he could tell something was coming. "Are you ok Yuri?" The director looked over 'Am I fine?' she thought. "Yes, I am ok." But even she knew she was lying, only to hide the truth that is. After Zach left, Ms. Yuri grabbed her bag and turned off the lights and walked out of the school. As she walked further to where cameras couldn't see into the damp woods by the school, she jumped high into the trees and began to think. 'I don't want to hurt him' She thought, the demon side then began to whisper words into her ear 'But he needs to be punished.' She shook her head violently. She then was getting shocked by the unknown forces. "Do it," The voice said in her head. "You won't see Danny in pain anymore." Her eyes lit up. "In pain?" She asked in a whimper. "Yes... You have to convince him, I'm sure you can do this." Ms. Yuri then took her glasses off once more and put it in the pocket of her vest. "Yes, I will, only to get him to have little pain as possible." She said to the voice. "Good" It responded. "I knew that you would come to you senses soon." Ms. Yuri then jumped down to each branch until she made contact to the ground. Her boots had sunk into the ground at the heel, she stood in a moment of silence. "Senses..." She said looking up to the black stray sky. "I have no sense of anything. No sense of feeling either." She then began walking out of the view of the tucked back into the woods school. When it was clear, she started to walk along side the highway, as cars with blinding headlights made their way passed her. She could see every soul in the car. Everyone, until she looked over to the other side of the barrier where the cars were going the opposite direction. There were a group of men on the other side of the road. They were dressed in maroon velvet robes with hoods pulled all the way up to where they're faces unrecognizable. They stared at her as she walked, "Satanist" the voice said. "Pay no mind to them." She did as she was told and looked down. She began clenching onto her leather satchel bag, so much to where there were scratch marks in the leather. The men began walking at the same pace she was now whispering to each other. She then turned sharply as she was now able to walk on a sidewalk that was broken and old that was now on the intersection. The shocks of pain came back again, and more painful then ever. "Even when a demon still have no freedom." She murmured. Without her noticing, the men in robes ran over to the side she was at and grabbed her knocking her jaw out of place. She fell to the ground, and curled up into a ball. "Why aren't you fighting back?" the voice asked. The teacher didn't answer, she only had one thought on her mind. 'Should I?' Her hands began turning black. When one of them was coming dow n to slap her, she quickly grabbed and stood. Her jaw was dangling, moving side to side. She quickly swung it up high enough to get it back into the socket.

With aloud crack her jaw was in place.

The men stood frighten. "Are you ok ma'am?" She looked back up to find the men in robes looking at her they were priest. "I am fine why did you beat me?" The man brought the hood down from the robe. "Sorry, my colleagues thought that you were the woman who killed Father John." Ms. Yuri stood in shock. "I merely was acquaintances with him, until he started to believe that this band director from Vestwill was a demon I believe." The man stood in relief he then pulled his hood back on and walked away as if nothing had happened. Ms. Yuri then grabbed her satchel which she had thrown and began walking again. Where she was going, she had no idea, where would she like to go? Home. But her home was not like you or I's. Though no one has never seen her home, there are tales that they call a demons home the "hole". It will forever remain a mystery.

When morning came Ms.Yuri left the house earlier than usually. She wanted to execute her plan. She was nervous , yet excited for the bastard's death if it was ok by Danny. As she walked behind the school to the band room door. She tightened her grip on the satchel bag when she saw a young boy standing by the doors. It was Danny. His cheeks were red, his finger twitching uncontrollably. "Danny what happened?!" She said sternly. Danny's eyes gazed up at her with eyes full of sorrow. As she stared into the innocent eyes of Danny it was clear what had happened. Now Danny had never told her about the room. The one he's scared to go into when it becomes locked. "I- I stayed here a-as soon as h-he dragged me out." Ms. Yuri knelt down beside him. She offered her hand and slowly and shakily Danny took it, and grasped tightly on. As she lead the freezing boy inside she immediately turned on the heater. "How long were you out there?" Ms.Yuri asked as she carried a pile of music over to the cabinets again. "All night." Danny answers as he shivered he then paused "since twelve." Ms. Yuri opened one of the cabinets and began slipping the folder and books that had contain musics into their designated spots. "I'm surprise that school didn't see you." She said in a calmly manner. She slid down the later and picked up more books and folders. "Well...I wanted to do what my father wants. To not see me. " the teacher paused when he said that. She looked down at the book of music she had in her hand. "Revenge of the fallen" by Rickny Seana. A not really famous composer, barley made a hit until he sat down and started writing in sadness of triumphant false victory. "Danny, you do everything for your father don't you?" This was the time, where her trickery came into play. "I think so..." Ms.Yuri then closed the cabinet and slowly turned towards him. "Had he ever done anything for you?" Danny stood in the chair that was used for sitting by the podium. "I...Don't really know." She walked towards him. "Your father, all he does is hurt you Danny there is no benefit that has been given to you from him." Danny looked up at his teacher and began tugging at his long sleeve sweat shirt. "Why do you say that?" He said timidly. "Danny...There are multiple relations in the animal kingdom, mutualism, where both animals get the same benefit, like a alligator and the bird. The bird gets food while the alligator has clean teeth, then there's commensalism. Where while one gets benefits and the host isn't harmed, like a barnacle and a whale. Then there's parasitism, while one gets benefits and the other suffers, like ticks on deer or better yet your dad abusing you."

Danny began start to shake. He remained silent. "I'm not trying to scare you Danny, I'm going to try to make your life easier." Danny looked up with tear rolling down his pink cheek. "H-how?" Ms.Yuri put both hands on the podium and started deeply into Danny's eyes. "I think your father wants his pain and your to end." Danny looked shocked "he's in pain?" Ms.Yuri nodded "very much so, ever since your mother had died, this pain had been tearing him to shreds, causing him to hurt you." Danny sneered the wet tear off of his face. "How can this pain end I want him happy I don't want to see him in pain." Ms. Yuri turned around, the voice in her head had then said "tell him" she lowered her head and took her glasses off and placed them on the podium. "Your father wants to see your mother again. He wants to see her permanently." The room started to dim. She turned around and walked behind Danny to where she was unable to be seen. " and I know how to make both his pain and the bruises he has left on you." She then grabbed his shoulder, her hands pitch dark and clawed. With the other hand she had her hand in front of her with her fingers acting as if they were holding an object. As Danny leaned closer he saw sparks leading from her hand that soon turned into a flame. "A fire?" Danny said as he looked up at his teacher. "It will be quick and easy, and the pain will be gone, the question is will you'll do it?" Danny stood in silence, he couldn't comprehend on what was just asked of him. To make a choice for the first time in his life. Distraught as he stood there watching the sputtering flame as the ember went up in the air.
