Girl meets Boy (and Shadow-being)

"Now approaching Crimson Avenue Station!" The monorail announced as I was spaced out.

My name is Lily Wright, a senior at Crimson Preparatory School.

I'm currently on my way to school like any other day, usually I'm deep in thought while riding the Monorail but today I just couldn't think straight for some reason but I just rolled with it.

"Crimson Avenue Station, this is Crimson Avenue Station!" I heard as I began to get off the monorail, most students rode the bus to and from school but my house was far so i usually rode the monorail, not many students do as this part of the city is usually dangerous to be walking to school but luckily I've learned how to do martial arts before I entered high school just incase anything bad were to happen.

I began to ride the escalator down to ground level when in the corner of my eye I could see a young man with a map of Burgerton among the crowd walking on the sidewalk.

The young man wore a tan tattered coat with the left sleeve torn off and bandages on him right elbow.

I contemplated on helping as i thought he was just a homeless person but finally decided to help him just to get my daily good deed out of the way. I walked up behind him "Hey Mister!" I said as he jumped from the sound of my voice, I guess he wasn't expecting anyone to talk to him, I saw his face for the first time and he surprisingly looked really young, maybe one year older than me?

He looked as though he's been through hell and back, he had bags under his eyes and cross shaped scar on his right cheek.

-Oliver's POV-

I was trying to look for the east side district on this map when suddenly a school girl came up to me, she wore a grey and red uniform with a bunny ear headband, she completely scared me when she called me out.

-Lily's POV-

"Please don't sneak up on me like that school girl, what do you want?" The man rudely questioned me about, I could already tell he had a mean attitude to him but I looked past that.

"You looked lost so i thought I could help you in anyway possible." I answered softly trying not to tick off the man even more. "hmmm, I guess I could use some help from a local." The man said, "Alright look here." He ordered at me, "I need to find Fourth Street.", He didn't seem to be in any sorta rush when i met him so i decided to guide him.

"So you go forward and then take the first left, continue on and make sure not to miss the Ice cream shop, then make a right and you're there." I said, "hmm, thanks I guess." He said as a compliment but his attitude didn't make it sound like it, "no problem mister, have a nice day!" I happily said to him but didn't respond back, he began to walk the opposite direction of where I was heading so I knew I wouldn't see him around, I guess he was new to the city of Hamburgs.

I continued walking to school as we both parted ways, as I continued to walk I felt like I was being watched, I looked back to see if the man from before was still there but he was gone, maybe I was being too superstitious right now, "Oh shoot!" I said as I looked at my watch, School was about to start. I decided to take a shortcut through a alleyway so I could reach my school a little faster.

As I began to enter the alleyway, I had a weird gut feeling like something bad was gonna happen, just then I see two thugs appear in front of me, I turned around and two food people thugs as well, one was a Cookie person and Another was a Macaroni person, they had me pinned.

"Hey Little miss, looks like you made the wrong turn." One of the Thugs in front of me said trying to intimidate me, "give us your money and any valuables on you and we'll consider letting you go free." The Cookie thug said to me. Although I look like schoolgirl with a rabbit ear headband on, they didn't know I was a martial arts master, "come any closer and you'll regret it." I said to them as serious as possible but they didn't listen.

As they began to walk towards me, they weren't stopping so I began to rush towards one of the thugs and knocked him to the ground, I continued to fight off the thugs and managed to knock down three out of four thugs but just as I was winning the fight one of the food thugs grabbed me from behind and had me pinned, "I got her!" The macaroni thug yelled out to his mates, I tried to struggle out of his grasp but to no avail, "oh man, you're really gonna pay now little girl!" One of the thugs that I knocked down said as he pulled out a switchblade, I was afraid as I had no way to defend myself there.

The thug began to walk closer and closer with the knife, I was wondering if this was the end but then out of the blue a voice could be heard yelling at us, "Hey!" A Voice yelled out from behind us trying to catch the thugs attention so they wouldn't do anything harmful to me, I look to see who was yelling and it turned out that my savior was the man in the tattered coat from earlier, maybe doing good deeds do pay off after all.
