Ch.1 The Beginning of The End

Waking up from a deep slumber that even the dead would envy, Zane opened his eyes' staring at the ceiling which had become the symbol of his imprisonment.

Zane braced himself for a wave of pain that alway's comes after waking up, waiting for a few second's he still hadn't felt the pain in his body, bewildered by the fact Zane couldn't help but smile and feel as if today was going to be a good day.

"Good morning Zane, how are you feeling today?" That's Resh, She's my short blonde goddess, my caretaker, and also my bestfriend.

She the daughter of my previous nurse, who would bring her over to play with me and also help her out. After her mother passed away she kept coming over and helping out. One day I asked my parents' to make her my official nurse and they wholeheartedly agreed.

She help's me do almost everything now from walking, to bathing, and helping me get dressed. The only secret that I hide from her is that I like her, but I make it pretty ovvious.

I'm afraid though that if we become more than what we are it'll break her when I go, because my death sentence is right around the corner.

"I'm doing awesome, i'm not sure if it's the new medicine that i've taken or if i'm just having a respite, but no pain so far, I'm hoping that it'll last all day."

"Really, are you sure, I'll be right back I have to call your parent's they need to hear this!" Resh in her excitment run's into the door, bounces back and lands on her ass, as she looks back, Zane is doubled over laughing his ass off, with her face beet red she stands up open's the door and runs out.

Zane feeling as if he hasn't laughed that hard in year's wipes the tears' in his eyes, after doing so he can't believe the fact that the disease that disabled him almost to the point of being a veggie, isn't having it's way with him today.

Zane was diagnosed with severe Erythromelalgia. Instead of just his extremities being affected it's his entire body that being targeted. Multiple Medical Professionals have examined Zane hoping to find out more about his case, what they found out was that his entire nervous system had already be compromised.

If they couldn't find a way to halt, or even regress his situation, Zane might only live till he's twenty years old at most, so when Zane woke up and wasn't in pain it was a big deal.

[Right were are manners, my name is Zane and I'm inclind to believe that i'm insane(becuase no person can stay sane after the amount of pain i've been through) or so I tell myself.

I've recently turned 18, I'm one of those kids with loaded parents, however since my body is messed up I can't do a whole lot physically, so i've studied almost anything I can get my hands' on to keep my mind in shape, but when that gets to overwhelming I turn to video games.]

*As you guy's can probably tell this is my first time writing a book. i'm not very skilled in doing so. So i will try my best, and sorry if I get off track. Yell at me later.*

Zane is one of the completionist gamer's, he has to have all the achievements, all the collectables' in game, and 100% completion done. after that he'll do a lore dive untill he learn's all about the games background.

Zanes' most cherished dive is when he started the dragon age games, and the amount of lore was simply overwelming. Think back to that memory he decided that today he'll play Dragon Age: Origin

(game starting up)

[Now then let's make a new game. As usual has to be under my name let's see I think i'll go with blonde short hair and blue eyes with a square jaw, yeah make you look like a Viking. Okay Ferelden here come's your conqueror Zane "The Viking" cousland] "MWHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA-(cough cough), hey resh can you bring me in someting to drink ,please, thanks."

-A few hours later-

"Howe, if I ever meet that asshole in real life imma stangle him with his own fuckin guts and hang his ass from a wall. Greedy pretentious asshole, WHY Why do you have to try and kill everyone in my house, me and Iona were having one hell of a time.

That's it, Maxis (name of the dog) and I will have our revenge i'm gonna let Maxis chew your ball straight off and make damm sure you suffer enormously you toture loving prick.

You know what, yeah, that's what i'll do, imma touture you. i'm going to set you over a nice low flame and grille your ass and then let Maxis feast, that'll show you try to stop my ball bustin business i'll bust your ball's instead bastard."

While handing Zane a bottle of water Resh couldn't help but admonish him "You know better than to yell at the screen, how many time's are you going to do it before you realize it's a bad idea"

Zane started acting sheepishly "Sorry but you know how I get when I start a game i'm fully invested in my character."

"That's no excuse, besides your parents say that they are on their way here, it'll take them about an hour before they arrive"

Zane admiting his defeat puts' his hands in the air saying"Okay. I did wear myself out on yelling at him though, so I might take a nap before they get here."

Resh stands up about to leave when her hand was caught by Zanes' "Resh I can't wait for the day when you no longer have to be my nurse, and I can take care of myself then you won't have to be bogged down here with me."

Resh looked at Zane with passion in her eyes' but also a hint of rage. "Idiot i'm here because I want to be, and besides' i'm always going to be by your side no matter what, you should know that by now."

Before Zane can respond back his lips' are sealed by Reshs' and it was as if all time had slown down to a standstill with just the two of them locked together.

Zane reaches around Reshs' waist and holds her as tight as he can, but as if it was nothing but a fantasy, Resh pulls back her face flushed, and she turns around and walks out,

before leaving she turns around one more to see the dumbfounded expression on Zanes face and starts to smile.

Zane not knowing what to do, lies down and while not being able to think, falls asleep.

As Zane drifts off into his dreams the device that monitors his heartbeat starts blaring signaling that something's gone wrong, when Resh ran inside she saw that Zane was unresponsive and started immedite revival procedures hoping that she can still bring Zane back.

To her dismay none of the procedures were working. She tries a few more times untill she breaks out crying, mumbling "stay with me Zane come on this can't be happening, stay with me please." A few seconds later a team arrives dragging Resh out and starts putting Zane's body on a gurney rolling him out of his room and down the hall to try to resuscitate by any means.

Resh with tears flowing down her face prays to any and every god she can think of to please let him be alright, and one of those gods just so happened to be listening, since it saw the state Zane was in while he was alive, it did him a favor and sifted through his life finding out his love for dragon age

On a whim it created the universe the game is set in just for him, and decides to give him a little help to see what happens. Of couse Zane belives he still napping but in truth he died while think of being with his Blonde bombshell baby.
