Chapter Sixteen

John built the facility behind the temple, so he could look down from his balcony to see them entering and exiting. There was just one problem...

"System, tell me again the cost per 10 clones."

[1,000 gold coins. This includes all the training and time it takes for them to be deployable. It reduces to 2 weeks.]

John thought for a moment, before heading down to go to the facility. He put the clone blueprint in and had the facility make 50 clones.

He spent his 6 new attribute points, raising his intelligence and endurance.

[Intelligence: 22 -> 25]

[Endurance: 23 -> 26]

He looked at the cloning facility that appeared out of nowhere, with droids that run it. A few weeks passed as the first 50 clones he made were deployed from the facility.

They asked Fix about his missing arm, and Hosea told them about the lord who lives at the top of the temple.

———

John created another 50 clones, and the 100 total were split into 25 under each ARC Trooper. Fix may have lost his arm, but he can still use a blaster.

As John sat in his room, he meditated, circulating his emotions. For a brief moment, a memory from his old life flashed in his mind.

He, his wife, and his son and daughter sat around a well kept coffee table.

It seemed like they were arguing and it caused John's emotions to spike, as he opened his eyes. 'Why would I think about them now?'

He stood up and sat on the edge of his bed. "System, how do I make the saber hilt?"

[Give 50,000 gold. I will give the parts for a hilt.]

"Ok, my apprentice will need a weapon after all." He did it, constructing the hilt. He had 71,000 gold left.

A knock sounded at his door. "Master Thane, it's me, Chris."

John opened the door allowing him inside. "Chris, have you made progress?"

He nodded. "I can move stuff with my mind now, and crush objects at will." He demonstrated on an empty cup. He had a great control over the force as well.

John smiled, taking out the yellow crystal. "Good work, Chris. Take this crystal and this hilt I have. Deconstructing a lightsaber and reconstructing it can be dangerous. If you do it wrong, all that will be left of you and your saber will be the Kyber Crystal. Understand?"

Chris grabbed the Kyber Crystal and hilt with the force, bring them to his hands. He bowed. "Thank you, Master Thane."

The door opened as Indigo walked into the room. "Sorry to interrupt, Lord Thane. Me and the boys were wondering when we would be getting gunships. It only makes-"

John spoke. "Yes, I'm sorry I've forgotten. I'll build 4 for you right away, Commander Indigo."

Indigo froze. "Sir?"

"Congratulations on the promotion, Commander. Go tell your boys they'll be flying in 2 weeks, the rest too.

With that, Commander Indigo left and John began building 4 LAATs. He was left with 55,000 gold, each Gunship costing 4,000.

As he walked out with Chris, they noticed 09 was missing. "01, where did it go?"

"He went to kill Prisoner Charlotte, saying you gave the order."

John sighed. "Damn malfunctions. Chris, stay with these 9, I'll go get Charlotte!" He ran to his balcony, jumping down a few levels to the middle of the temple, landing on Charlotte's balcony, just in time to see 09 come through the door.

As it raised its blaster to Charlotte, the girl balled up. 'This is it.'

She heard what sounded like lightning before a clunk of metal hitting the ground. Her eyes opened to John and a fried commando droid on the ground.

"Did you just save me?" She asked as she stood, holding the hilt in her hand.

"Yes, I knew that droid had some faulty wiring." He looked at the hilt. "We're you able to make it?"

She looked at the lightsaber. "Ah, yes!" She hit the button, a green blade glowing from the weapon. "Can I leave now?"

[Main Quest Activated: The Sister's Trust]

[Reward: 3x slots ticket, 3,000 experience, 10,000 gold, 1x Sith Holocron.]

[Level Up: 37 -> 38]

[Unspent Attribute points: 0 -> 3]

[Unspent Skill points: 27 -> 29]

John sighed. 'That's all it took? A faulty droid?' He shook his head, turning his attention to Charlotte. "Sure, you can leave, but you could also stay. Become my apprentice along with your brother. Grow powerful enough to one day strike me down, if you wish." The girl had a look of uncertainty on her face. "Surely being a concubine wasn't that great?"

Charlotte thought about it for a moment. "What do I call you then?" She agreed to stay.

John removed his helmet. "Master, my new apprentice."
