Seo-yeon sat in her bedroom watching every BTS video available. She felt as if something had taken over her and there was an insane need to view Jin in this whole new light. She had left work in a daze. She was surprised she made it home with how out of it she had been. Every moment spent with Jin continued to flash through her mind. Each touch, and smile replayed like a slideshow. It all made sense now. Yoongi's distrust, and excessive need to keep their identies "hush, hush." It didn't come as a shock to see that Yoongi was part of the group. They did not look too different from when she spent time with them, but it was odd seeing them in glamour shots, detailed music videos, and their own program specials.
Sighing sadly to herself, she closed her laptop. Turning off the lamp, she pulled her phone out from underneath her pillow, then laid down. She opened her private gallery, and scanned the pictures taken at the lighthouse, and garden. Jin's face stared back at her. Full of laughter, and what she had hoped was affection. Knowing what she now knew, she questioned if it was genuine. Tomorrow was Friday, and she made the promise to stay professional. She would not think of those few days. She would focus on the task at hand. He was in a whole different league, and she needed to come back to reality. Those were her last thoughts as she drifted to sleep.
****Friday evening****
"Wow, this looks amazing, and very organized." Euh-ha stood in awe in front of the planning board Seo-yeon had spent the entire day creating. She had received an email from Manager Sejin with a drive of previous photos, and videos dating back to their debut. Pushing her personal feelings aside, she began mapping out ideas in her tablet, and sketch pad. The board on the wall were pinned pictures, and notes. She had an idea of what she wanted to capture, and would discuss it with BTS and their manager.
Every time she began to think of Saturday's meeting, her stomach turned over, and her throat felt tight. There was no way out of it. She wondered how it would play out. It was a unexpected reunion.
"I wanted to capture the most memorable moments from their debut. I've watched so many of their music videos and special shows. I really want to highlight how they're more family than just friends."
"I really wish I could stay during the planning meeting tomorrow. We just get a formal greeting. YOU get to interact with thme! Ugh, I'm so jealous!" Eun-ha dramatically flopped onto the couch. Seo-yeon smiled sadly. 'If only she knew.'
"We'll be working. It's not what you're imagining."
"I'm still jealous. You'll get to be around seven gorgeous, talented men."
"You're distracting me. I need to finish the schedule for the photo sessions, then head home. Tomorrow will be a busy day."
Eun-ha groaned, but waved good-bye as she left the office. Seo-yeon worked another two hours, and called it a day. The entire day she managed to focus on work, and the task given to her. She kept everything professional, and concentrated on the theme of this month's issue. Not once did she look at the pictures and allow her thoughts to wander.
Alone in her apartment, laying on her bed, she broke. 'How am I going to be able to face him?' Nerves, and embarassement took over, and she could not escape herself.
***Saturday evening***
The day she dreaded arrived. She spent all night tossing and turning. Thoughts of what may or may not happen clouded her mind. Gaining a good four hours of sleep, she picked her most professional outfit: a pant suit that fit just right. She put her hair up into a ponytail out of her face. She told herself that she was trying to impress clients, and that Jin had nothing to do with it.
The clock chimed that it was ten minutes 'til six. She gathered her material, quickly checked her appearance in the nearest mirror, and headed to the staff meeting hall. Everyone began crowding into the room, attempting to find a seat closest to the presenting board. Seo-yeon did the opposite, and sat as far a possible, and close to the wall. Eun-ha joined her.
"These seats are horrible. You should've used your position on this project to get us closer."
Seo-yeon didn't reply. She was trying to gather her thoughts. They would be arriving soon. The moment she feared.
"Good evening, everyone. As discussed, we are excited for our special guests. Please remember to respect their privacy, and to remain professional. First, Manager Sejin will say a few words." Jin Ae walked to the side, allowing room for Manager Sejin.
"Hello, everyone. Thank you for having us. It means a lot to have this opportunity to share the growth of these young men. They worked so hard to get here, and having their love for each other, and ARMY expressed through the creativity of a growing entertainment branch is an honor. We look forward to seeing what great ideas we can created together." Manager Sejin bowed in thanks to the staff members. Everyone was moved, and clapped their respect and approval.
Seo-yeon felt as if time began to move in slow motion. Manager Sejin slightly moved to the side, and the door opened. In walked seven tall, handsome men: Kim Namjoon, Park Jimin, Jeon Jungkook, Kim Tae-hyung, Jung Ho-seok, Min Yoongi, and Kim Seok-jin. All seven cheerfully smiled and waved to the staff, who continued to clap in excitement.
"2, 3, Bangtan! Hello, we are BTS!"
