After they landed, they arrived at their hotel and had a late dinner alone in their rooms. Seo-yeon was on another floor with the staff, and given her own room. She knew the possibility of Jin, or Sejin playing a part of this arrangement was high, but didn't linger on it. She accepted it with gratitude, and silently at alone, while outlining the work that would take place later that day. They would have to work on only four hours of sleep, including what little they were able to get on the plane. She was able to see first hand how busy they were. She slept as soon as she was done eating, and mentally prepared for her first BTS concert.
***4 hours later***
Seo-yeon met up with Yo-han back stage to check equipment, and organize who would do what that night. The team moved around completing various tasks, and rested only to quickly take a sip of water, or a eat a quick snack. The atmosphere was full of anticipation for the night's lively crowd.
She and Yo-han occasionally watched the guys practice their routines. Not wanting to be a distraction, she kept her distance. Of course, this didn't stop Jungkook or Tae from stopping by to have a quick chat, steal her snacks, or check for her opinion on how they did on a specific routine. Jin smiled, or waved when they met eyes, but remained invested in his practice. She respected the dedication and drive he put into perfecting his performance.
Before she knew it, it was time for fans to enter the stadium. She gathered her camera, and took a deep breath. She stood to the side as everyone took their positions. All the members began to gather. She couldn't hear what they were saying, but she knew it was a routine they follow before any performance. She took a picture to capture the moment. Jin glanced her way, and grinned at her. She returned the grin, and walked out to begin capturing images as they entered.
***Two days later (2 concerts later)***
The first two days in California were jam packed with rehearsals, make up, dress checks, and alone time in their hotel rooms. She didn't get to spend any time alone with any of them outside the stage. It didn't stop Jin from messaging her, and making sure that she was enjoying her time.
[Text] Jin: Did you enjoy your time? I'm sorry we weren't able to spend much time together.
[Text]: Seo: Don't apologize for that. Your love for ARMY is a beautiful thing. And I had a blast.
[Text] Jin: 💜 Thank you for being so understanding. I can't wait to see what pictures your took. Of course I'm sure the best shots were of yours truly. 😌
[Text] Seo: lol, I can't deny you were captivating.
[Text] Jin: How captivating?
[Text] Seo: It was hard to concentrate. I forgot there were others to photograph.
[Text] Jin: Miss Park, are you flirting with me? 😉
[Text] Seo: 😇
[Text] Jin: Tomorrow's our day off. Jungkook and Jimin found a beach. It's known for kiteboarding, so Kook really wants to go.
[Text]: Seo: What time?
[Text] Jin: Noon. Me and Yoongi will make a lunch for us. Sejin said he'll take you to our ride in the garage of the hotel.
[Text] Seo: Should I bring anything?
[Text] Jin: Just yourself
[Text] Seo: Ok. Get some rest. See you at noon.
[Text] Jin: Sweet Dreams
[Text] Seo: 💜
She spent her morning finding something to wear that would be suitable for the Californian heat. She settled for green shorts, and a white blouse with small green starts imprinted on the hems. She was slipping on her flip flops when there was a knock at the door.
"Yun-Yun!" Taehyung wore a blue cap that hid all his hair, a pair of hilariously, large sunglasses, and a mask. He whispered her name realizing he broke "cover" by shouting her name.
"Tae?" She laughingly questioned.
"Manager Sejin said I could get you if I was careful," he glanced around the hall, "I think I went unnoticed."
She stifled her laughter at his over the top disguise. "I'm sure no one noticed who you were. I only knew it was you because I recognized your voice."
He nodded in relief. He took her bag when as she began to close the door. He complimented her outfit, and lead the way to the garage. She enjoyed the time she spent with him. He was every entertaining, and it was easy to tell that he had been looking forward to this break for a while.
The others were waiting for them next to two SUVs. Jungkook, Ho-seok, and Namjoon were loading bags with extra clothes, while Yoongi was placing the lunch gently into the front of one of SUVs. Jimin and Jin were making sure the routes were placed into the GPS before they took off.
"We're here," Tae gleefully announced.
"Tae, don't you think you were a bit extreme with that get-up?" Yoongi said exasperated.
"I was as cautious as I should be," he said defensively, while placing his hands on his hips.
"We made it undetected, so his mission was successful," Seo patted Tae's shoulder. He relaxed and grinned down at her.
"Put Seo's bag in the car. Let's head out," Jin said. He gestured her to the passenger seat of one of the cars.
***Beach***
The eight of them ate their lunch as soon as they arrived. Seo-yeon was happy to see how comfortable and at ease they were. It was a moment they are always eager to have. One day to be able to do whatever they wanted, and with whoever they choose to spend it with.
"Seo, what'd you think of our concert?" Namjoon asked.
"Yeah, I forgot to ask you! How did you like it?" Jungkook joined in.
"I loved it. All of you are wonderful performers," she said with a bright smile.
"What'd you think of ARMY? This was your first time seeing them in such a large group," Yoongi mentioned.
"It was overwhelming at first," they all faced her in interest, "the amount of love and devotion felt from all of those people. It was a lot to take in. But I get it. You send a strong message, and change their lives. You're more than idols to your fans."
"I'm glad you weren't scared away," Yoongi grinned, "Jin would cry if you did."
Everyone laughed at Jin's pout. His ears reddened in embarrassment. He would never admit to them that he would he extremely heartbroken had she left in fear. Instead he kept his pout in place while they continued to tease him.
"Don't laugh, Seo, or I'll tell them about what you messaged me last night," Jin diverted the teasing.
"Omo! I don't know what's more shocking," Jimin gasped, "That she might have sent something racy, or that hyung called her Seo!"
"Jin!" she chided, and threw a paper ball at him.
They all laughed at her flaring cheeks, and the horrible throw. The paper ball flew no where near Jin, and landed sadly on the floor. The chatter continued until they finally finished eating.
"Ok, I'm ready to try that kiteboarding!" Jungkook announced, "Who's going to try it with me?"
"I will," Tae and Jimin volunteered.
"I think I want to try walking the hiking trail," Namjoon said.
"I'll join you on that," Ho-seok said, "I'm not so sure I could handle kiteboarding."
"Me neither," Yoongi said, "I hate water. I'll go on the hike."
"Yun-Yun?" Jungkook called to her, "What did you want to do?"
"I was hoping to capture some pictures. I've never been overseas. I would love to take advantage of my time here."
"I'll take Seo on a walk around the beach," Jin spoke. No one argued. They all more than happily agreed, then set off on their own adventures. Jin grabbed her bag, and extended his hand out to her.
She gently took his hand, and let him lead her towards the beach.
