Classmates from ChenHe

After Chen Ziyi sent her text into the group, the group went into silent for a while although there was sign showing 'someone is typing…..'

Fang Peizhi: [Chen Ziyi?]

Chen Ziyi: [Yess??]

Fang Peizhi: [You're joining us?]

Chen Ziyi: [Yeah. Should I not?]

Fang Peizhi send a big smile face emoji: [HAHAHA.😁 Of course you should. It's tomorrow, 11 am, at Conquest Plaza. We are going to eat hotpot. Is that okay for you?]

Chen Ziyi: [I am fine with anything. As long as there is other food than seafood]

Lu Zixin: [A pity for people who can't eat seafood ha!😋]

Lin Chao-xing: [Shut up, boy upstairs🙄]

Han Meirong: [Ziyi, text me personally your address later. We will pick you up tomorrow]

Bai Muyin send wink face emoji: [have fun, my friends😉]

Lu Zixin: [I bet you are excited already to start your class. Go make us proud, Bai Muyin😑]

Bai Muyin: [Should tell that to you]

Lu Zixin: [Nah~ Compared to me, it should be our future public figure. Wan Zhen, where are you?]

Chen Ziyi could not stopped herself from feeling entertained by reading the keep on bickering of her classmates in the group chat. From what she read, she could get know her friends' progression and what they were doing for the past two weeks. Sometimes they would bicker with each other, talk on general topic, shared their vacation experience, and there were times when they send various emojis saying they felt bored.

Contradict to the current leisure atmosphere in the group chat, her classmates would usually be the type of focusing more on their studies, not influenced much by the fast paced trends and entertainment outside of their class. The reason might because of they were attending Chenhe and they need to meet the expectation that was put on their shoulders.

ChenHe' High School was built as a prep high school, heavily focus on their student's academic achievement and prepare those students to aim for a guaranteed spot in the top 8 universities in the nation, or to go study at few renowned university abroad. Most of ChenHe's students were from a well off and affluent family that stay in the Province G.

Not all who came from a well off family would choose to go to ChenHe as there were still other school option in the province. However, for those who had another aim, which was to go to aristocrat high school or any other prominent high school established in the country, their family would choose to send their children to ChenHe'. With the great reputation of most aristocrat high school had, it made the parents attentive to such aspects. In their opinion view, the better the school, the better their children's future prospect.

The reason for they would choose Chenhe lies on it's offer and privileges to their students. ChenHe' High School was structured into two level- junior high school and high school. It was a prerequisite that the students must undergone the junior high school class at ChenHe' to be qualified to request for a recommendation to transfer to any prominent or aristocrat high school they wanted.

{It was just a recommendation. They still need an approval from the school they applied to}

Yes. It was still just a recommendation but that only applied if the students chose to go for the top 3 aristocrat high school in the country. Not everyone can easily enter into such super high level school. Aristocrat high school was clearly built for the aristocrat's children in the country. They only open few slots for those who were not from aristocrat background, and only a real outstanding talent can have the spot. Meanwhile, If the students applied for just a prominent high school or aristocrat one but not the top 3, they would get accepted easily.

There were other schools tried to imitate ChenHe where they sometimes recommend to transfer their outstanding student to those prominent high school and they were allowed to. Which school would not want to show they also had talent and which school would want to miss out a beautiful gem. So such situation existed and ChenHe could care less about it.

However, ChenHe's rate of success to get the slots were often higher and ChenHe in fact was a prep school that was highly recognized by all the aristocrat high school. Compared to other school in the province, ChenHe's syllabus was much more extensive and evaluation much stricter to make their level worth for to be just a second to those prominent and aristocrat high school. That was also the reason for why those aristocrat school would prioritize any student transfer application from ChenHe.

It was a privilege for those who excel in ChenHe as they get recommended to enter into those powerhouse high school. ChenHe's obvious benefits thus made the students who aimed those ambition would study hard to get those advantage.

Chen Ziyi and her classmates were included in those cliques. In the past, Chen Ziyi was qualified to get those advantage but she rejected the offer. Compared to ChenHe which was located in the border of Province G, she instead went to LanShu High School which was much nearby to her father's house. Her rejecting the offer was also one of the causes of the fights with her mother two weeks ago. If it was her previous life, although her application was put on hold by the school, after the fight, she requested the school to proceed her transfer application. Her classmates who found out about that were surprised for her choice.

To them, she should at least just stay study in ChenHe' which much better as ChenHe' can guaranteed more opportunity for her to go for Capital University or study abroad later on when they had graduated their high school. But, they never asked her since they were not that close to approach her and frankly asked about it. They also did not have the chance to meet her on the last day before they went to their separate way. The unexplained reason of Chen Ziyi rejecting the offer was remembered until they became adult.

Chen Ziyi was in no fight or complicated situation with her classmates as they often occupied themselves with either homework exercise, studying or extra-curriculum activities. They did not even have time to feel offended and just move on as they felt it was not worth to be upset for a long time. Of course they were trained for that. Most of them would engage in an activity to train their patience and cooperative into their own life.

There were classes on musical instruments, public speaking and singing performance, and sports activities such as basketball, volleyball, tennis, and archery that were available to take. There was no competition held for those activities for junior students as ChenHe's strict requirement for them to focus more on their academic achievement. They instead can take part in those activities as a hobby, or just one time performance, or competition within school that may be conducted between the classes. There were no evaluation marks or grade on such active participation in their recommendation letter later. However, there would be mentioned if they have involved themselves in any activity to give a clue of the student's temperament to the letter's recipient.

Due to their lively schedule, the students would find that their leisure time is a very luxury thing to have. However, despite of them they would find time to just hang out with any available students, to have dinner or join evening exercise together such as basketball or netball which requires them to be in group to enjoy the sports norms. But then, even when they have dinner or played, they would sometimes come up with talk on their course subject or how to memorize certain formula.

During their junior school days, other than group discussion, Chen Ziyi rarely join her classmates on group gathering whether it came to lunch or sports activities. Chen Ziyi would have her own time either by joining a piano or violin lesson. To be actual, she even add the singing class into her schedule so she has lesser empty time to spend with her classmates.

She would still join in the group discussion and her classmates were communicating fine with her, but her rarely active participation in their group hang out would obvious made the suddenness to join their gathering this time surprised the class. Although they can just merely assumed that she might just wanted to treat this chance as a good farewell meet up, but they were still feel weird that she actively seeking for it. In the past, they would still personally had to invite her to join their group activities.

##Present time.

[You know about the story]

[Yeah]

[Do you think we can ask her later?]

[If you have no shame, try to ask her]

[But since she will be joining us tomorrow, it is inevitable for us to talk about the topic right?]

[I don't know. Who's going to ask her? We were never that close to begin with]

They heard that Chen Ziyi intended to transfer to LanShu High School and were quite surprised for that. They also heard that the transfer work was not processed yet, so they assumed that it might be not finalized yet. However, few of them were already curious and quite excited to ask her by their own.
