this is a pretty short story with time as batter, a few youngsters as ingredients who get mixed by a blender known as Pompeii.

note: some parts of the story might be facts while others are just made up. There might be some grammatical errors in between, please don't mind them?.

The Rendezvous: Pompeii

Yeah, so we met this uncle guy. A pretty arrogant man. The first thing he said after seeing us was, "heh". And the next thing was,"tell me what you want, I'll arrange it for you."


Priscilla started her well prepared introduction speech.


"Sir, I am Mahogany and this is Dusan. We are here to find a job. We can do many thing-"


"No need. I have slaves to do all the work. You're dismissed."


She stared at me for help. All her efforts that she put preparing her cute speech went all waste.


"No sir, slaves just do their jobs, the jobs you ask them to do. They are not fit enough to device plans for growing your business. Even if they do, it would be a shame, for you, a famous noble man, to ask help from a slave."


He turned his head and finally looked at me.


"So, we can help you rise in power and go all the way up, up even a mountain!!"


"And push you down.", Priscilla said, thankfully Austin didn't here.


"Hmmm so you want to be my assistant?!"


"But what if you have ulterior motives?"


"We merely work for money. That's why we chose you, the richest noble man in this city of herculaneum!! Plus, even if we did have ulterior motives, you will find it out soon enough. What is the richest noble man not capable of?!"


"I like you. What about miss agony, what is she capable of?"


I wanted to say winning any argument...


"It's Mahogany sir... It's a colour... I was named after my hair.", She corrected.


"Who cares about you history, and where you got your name from... Just tell me what you're capable of."


"I can develop simple tools and also frame people."


"150 gold a month for both of us included, and free meals and a place to stay, we would also do other household chores.", She said.


"Deal! Start working from tomorrow!! You can stay in my mansion!!"


He led us to our room, and woaahhh it was soooo big!! Priscilla seemed amazed to!!


"Wow!! So big!! Isn't it amazing, Dush?"


"Hmph!! Then just call me pris or priscy!"


I woke pris up. (I like that name, it sounds nice somehow)


I didn't sleep well, because I slept on the floor. Why? Well she kicked me out of the bed and said, "you, sleep on the floor!! I am a girl and you're a guy. And we are not married!!"


And she calls me a sexist if I say girls should be a little respectful towards men. At least normal respect!! She's the sexist!! She slept on the soft comfy bed while I slept on the cold floor!!


I shook her hard and said, " if you wanna sleep for some more time, then you have to share the bed with me from tonight!!"


Wow that was quick!! What happened to all the "guy girl" speach she gave me yesterday?!


Later, Austin wanted to test our capabilities... She didn't seem bothered by much... I was scared out of my bones.


Plus she found this Austin guy handsome!! I was more handsome!! Even Augustus, though he can't compare to me... He is handsome... Ok fine, as handsome as me...


"I am expecting a lot from you. So who wants to give it a go first?", Austin said.
