this is a pretty short story with time as batter, a few youngsters as ingredients who get mixed by a blender known as Pompeii.

note: some parts of the story might be facts while others are just made up. There might be some grammatical errors in between, please don't mind them?.

The Rendezvous: Pompeii

I wanted to concentrate on my work. I couldn't! Not after what Augustus said!! He must be joking right?! He after all so good at that! 


"Now concentrate on work!", I solded myself. Yeahh, so now he got me talking to myself! I do talk to myself, but I never order myself to do something! Gahh!


"I am not ready with the answer yet! So-", I stopped myself as soon as I realized it was Dusan and not Augustus.


"What answer? I mean what did I even ask?"


"Ohh nothing! I thought it was Augustus coming in..."


He smiled. Awee so cute!! Just like a baby!! It's a little awkward to call a muscular guy a baby but, he smiles just like a 3 year old. He looks up closes his eyes and smiles. Isn't it cute!


"I am afraid, Austin has already started to suspect us..." 


"what are you waiting for? Tell me, even if it is reckless..."


"He suggests we can push the blame onto someone."


I nodded and looked away. " But how can we make him believe us?"


"We can choose that someone who is most likely an enemy?"


"Well we can say it's Augustus, he will never suspect us... Or it can be Guildford, my former master... For as long as I know, they've been competing in the games, sending their best slaves..."


"It should be Guildford. Only then, things will fire up.", I said.


"Augustus is really smart. This plan is so stupid, that Austin won't really see that coming...", I laughed. "Sounds good to me! We can use this plan!"


 I am surprised how can Austin not recognise Augustus?


"And stuff is always going out our way... That, I somehow find it fishy!", Dusan winced.


"Yeah, let's see... If it work out, it works out..."


I gave Dusan a big hug. "It's okay! We'll be fine!"


"You're tired! Go take a nap, I'll take care of the rest..."


A few happy days with no problems passed. Of course my peace couldn't last long. No I am not taking about Austin... It's about Augustus. That idiot was listless and it made me feel guilty for nothing...


Dusan was pretty busy with the errands... Oh yeah, I forgot to mention, we are hosting a party!! Do join to see all the drama that's going to happen!!


We have made a not so well devised plan to crash it!!


And we've also decided to find Dusan's sister before that... Since the party will be hosted inly after a few months... 


So Dusan's job was to invite as many guests as possible from many far cities... So he's been running around...


Augy was with me... He used to bring me some tulips, roses, marigold, or all of them together... Not gonna lie, I really appreciate attention like this... As long as Austin doesn't find out, or he's gonna think I've been cheating on Dusan lol!


Today, just as always Augy brought a bouquet of white rose. I smiled and took it. AUSTIN, that indecent fellow, grabbed me and kissed me on my neck.


"Holy idiot!", I screamed. But what I meant to say was 'holy shit!! You idiot!'.


Austin pulled away and started laughing. Even I would have laughed if it was someone else swearing...


"Lo-look. I am going to meet Austin to inform him about something. So, I'll get going", I started walking away.


"Yeah, but cover that mark before you go, or there might be some misunderstanding!", Augustus shouted.


Mark? What mark? Then I realized it was that hickey he gave me. I took a blue ribbon which matched my light blue robe and tied it across my neck to cover it. I didn't go to Austin, that was just some dumb excuse I gave Augustus. I did like him, but he needed to pass the test.
