Treasca woke trying to remember where she was. She blinked into the pitch black darkness trying not to panic. She remembered with a jolt the Shade that slept next to her. She sat up trying to be a quiet as possible. Sliding her hand across the bed opposite where the Shade had been she found the edge of the bed. Slithering towards it she stood hands out stretched moving at a shuffle feeling her way to the wall. She thinks hard about the layout of the room looking for the door. After what felt like an eternity her hands brushed the wood. Using the same spell she had to escape the room she had been first imprisoned in she tries it on the door. It doesn't budge. Trying to remain calm she tried again using a touch more power nothing happened. She took a deep rattling breath trying to think.
"Going somewhere?" An amused voice comes from the bed. The Shade snaps the room nearly blinding her as it fills with light once more. Treasca pressed her hands to her eyes trying to become accustomed to it once more. Before she can recover Ladon pulled her to her feet.
Blinking back watering eyes she open them to see his smug smile. He spun her back to face the door, but the only thing there is a chalk drawing of one on wood panels. Treasca stared heart sinking she had not learned this from Brenton yet.
"The snake is looking for us my sweet one. By now he has made it past the shadows, and is even now trying to follow us through the portal. Eventually he will catch us no matter how much we flee. This is day two if you do not answer my by midnight tomorrow I will be forced to take drastic measures. Please don't make this hard for yourself, be mine." Ladon lips press into the back of Treasca's neck making her shudder. Turning slowly in his grip she nods trying her best to look affectionate.
"I will join you master." She says voice shaking. Brenton was coming she just had to be smart, and patient until he got here. He could wipe the floor with the Shade magically, she just knew he could. Despite his rage Ladon seemed to fear Brenton. Delyn she however did worry about. He was strong and loyal, but he seemed less capable than his master in nearly every way, other than being domestic and his manners. Ladon grinned down at her looking very pleased with her answer. He swept her up in his arms carrying her back to the bed.
"Oh I couldn't possibly do anything right now. I tried too much magic, and I feel weak. May I have something to eat to rebuild my strength." Treasca asked meekly trying to delay him ravaging her. Last night sprung to her mind making her nearly sick with fear. He would not be gentle with her even though it would be her first time. Treasca had not given much thought to her virginity before Brenton had taken her to be his bride, but now it seemed to be like a magical contract she hadn't realized existed. Ladon looked at her pale cheeks, and sighed. He sat her gently down on the bed and picked up the chalk fixing the places she had accidentally smudged in her quest for the exit. Once fixed his eyes flamed with black tendrils of magical fire, and the door swings open revealing the same dinning room they had been in the day before. This time however there was a single setting at a small table sweet bread, eggs, and bacon filled the plate as well as a goblet of juice. Treasca actually famished ate without speaking Ladon watching her with mild amusement. She wasn't sure what she had done to entertain him so much, but figured she wouldn't like the answer.
