Treasca wondered just who or what else could be trying to kill the Shade. After hearing what he had done, and seeing it first hand she wasn't really that surprised. What she did wonder about though was Landon's reaction. He seemed almost fearful of their pursuer. He ran full out weaving magic as he went dragging Treasca behind her. She tripped and fell he paused looking back over his shoulder. To her utter shock he kept going without her. Terror gripped her as she tried to struggle to her feet limping after him, too late the gate snapped shut in her face. She looked around her desperate for a place to hide. There was no time however heavy foot falls rounded the corner, and skidded to a stop in front of her. It was a man! He was the biggest man she had ever seen in her entire life. She wondered if he really wasn't a giant or something. He stared at her eyes wary then held up a small piece of blue transparent glass. He looked at het through it then moved toward her.
"What are you doing here? Are you a captive? Don't lie this charm will see straight through it." He said voice very deep, but nice to listen to. He probably sings well Treasca thought out of no where. She told him how the Shade had stolen her away with not a lot of detail. He nodded eyes troubled. "You can come back with me to what is left of my clan. We are Traveler's, and that monster nearly killed everyone of my people in his attack on Liyle to the west many leagues." Treasca looked at him in utter disbelief he was a Traveler.
"I am a Traveler of Yolan's line! I am his daughter please help me. I need to get word to them somehow. " The man looked as shocked as she was. He looked around then listening with all his might. "We need to go, now. That thing isn't far away. We aren't safe." Treasca limped forward then fell again her ankle not supporting her weight. The man rushed forward, and swept her up into his huge arms. Treasca blushed beat red at being carried by a complete stranger, but she was desperate to get away from here. The man ran full tilt back the way he had come. "I am going to leave you with my friends just outside the mansion. I need to kill that monster today, if it isn't already too late. He moves great distances so fast we can barely keep pace with him." The man said eyes deep in thought. It took about ten minutes before they where out in the cold chill mist that seemed to cover everything in this strange land. The man's friends where a party of eight warriors dressed various uniforms Treasca didn't recognize. The men started toward them hands on swords. The lead man a older blond man took out a similar glass to her saviors, and looked at them through it. "Stand down its Dane." He had a heavy accent. but the men followed his orders without question. Treasca wondered why they waited outside leaving the man Dane to go in the very dangerous home alone. "Gregor I need you took look after the woman for me. She is one of mine." Dane said sitting Treasca down gently amongst the men. They stared at her curiously. The leader Gregor bowed to the man, and Dane sprinted off once again after the shade.
Brenton flew out through the ruined landscape of Liyle. He needed to get information, and there seemed to be no where else he could look. The magic that had caused this catastrophe left a taint behind nearly like a miasma. It made is skin crawl. Diving over the landscape he saw nothing of much interest other than miles upon miles of destruction. He was about to give up and go back when something caught his eye, movement. There was a train of covered wagons heading east. He flew closer invisibility wrapped around him as not to frighten the people below. They where Traveler's Brenton realized their brightly painted wagons being unmistakable. He was about to keep moving on when a shout below him made him flutter in place. A man holding some kind of round object was shouting, and pointing up at him.
