Chapter 26

Infuriated, he called the head guard only to realise that Airic had blocked it as well.

Lunario: blocked again, huh? Hehe

*************

"Sir? Are you sure that it was a good idea to block the Chairman?"

"Of course! That old fox is all bark and no bite as long as you earn him a lot of money, at this point, he should be fuming silently till his wife gets to him."

"Very well sir."

"By the way... What is your name? I can't keep calling you, you."

"Sir may call me One."

"One? like the number?"

"Yes, sir, I was designated the number one as I am the leader of this squad."

"I see... Any questions for me? Don't be shy."

"... How do you know that?"

"What? The old foxs' temper?"

"Yes, sir."

"I gave him his son, so, what else can't I know?"

"....."

"What's with that weird look? I gave him a son and go to their home occasionally.... Not like that you pervert! I found the kid and gave him to the child services where he adopted him."

"Yes sir."

"Alright let's go. I want to see my new home."

"Yes. Move out!"

Sharply, the men in surrounding them realigned themselves, like a proper escort convoy. The ride was almost wholly silent, as Airic would hum a melody as he wrote on the notebook in his arms.

Eventually, they made it to his new home. The home was in an isolated area, usually housing the rich and famous, with spaces between the tree homes and luxurious treehouse homes.

It was a treehouse styled home, a traditional style on Reynor, of two floors. However, it had facilities built around the trunk, which would make it stand out from the typical homes but not in this neighbourhood. Here it might stand out with how small it was but otherwise, it blended in well. Airic went on a tour of the house, marvelling at the decor which was like a cliche sci-fi home with HUD screens and virtual controls.

It had a large master suite including a bedroom, vanity, and bathroom. All separated by glass, giving the term: open-planned room a new meaning. His living room, dining room, and kitchen were also open floored, with state of the art technology included in every conceivable detail. Like an automatic server, washer, and cleaner for the kitchen-dining area. Automated popcorn server for the living room area, and more. He felt like he would grow fat if he used all the hi-tech features of his new home.

He found a pool and gym, a music room, and an indoor garden.

His bodyguards were also amazed by the house. Though it was hidden by their blank expression to maintain a professional air in front of their employer. As they did this, B'tlar, installed himself swiftly into the home. Noiseless as usual, as he went to put away Airic's clothes and shoes gathered over his time on Reynor.

Taking a final sweep together with his entourage, he smiled as he stood in the entryway saying to an imaginary audience:

"Welcome to my home!"
