Zhang Qie was now in his mind scape silently cultivating, he felt like every second he was nearing a breakthrough.
Zhang Qie: "Break"
After saying that in a calm tone he was suddenly pulled out of his mind scape and into his body, he hurriedly got off his bed and rushed to the shower and attempted to turn it on. He felt like an idiot sitting on his bed, why didn't he just sit in the bathroom. While he was doing this sludge was slowly being expelled from his skin. At first it was okay, he got the shower on, took off his clothes and walked to under the water, slowly washing all the sludge off his body.
But then problems occurred, he thought that after a few seconds the sludge would stop but it didn't show signs of stopping at all it might even be a minute until it stops, this was all because he forgot that this was the first time in this life that he would go through cleansing and the amount would be a lot more than other times. The next disaster that happened was that the sludge wasn't going down the drain, in fact it didn't seem to move at all once it hit the floor of the bathtub, the sludge was sticky and he would have to manually move it towards the drain, not let the water take it to the drain. Finally the last disaster occurred, the smell hit him, he was briefly dazed for a second and then almost passed out from just the smell, it seemed stronger than what he experienced in his last life, after that while the shower was still on and also when the sludge was still coming out of his body he dropped onto his hands and knees and started to move the sludge towards the drain with his hands, desperate to get it away from him, all the while gagging and retching. (I had too much fun writing this scene.)
Once he finished with the breakthrough, he immediately rushed to the toilet and puked out his dinner. After that he went to his bed, still naked, and passed out on top of it, to tired to do anything else.
The Next Morning...
After a while Zhang Qie woke up, when he did he sensed the changes that happened to him. He was slightly stronger than before, he had officially broken through to the Soul Forming Realm.
Not every living being has a soul. Only cultivators have souls, they use souls to permanently retain ether. If you didn't have a soul and used an attack that uses ether when your in the ether gathering realm then you would lose all your cultivation progress and also potentially damage yourself.
After noting all the changes that happened to him he got dressed and went downstairs. He made breakfast for his sister and also made his own. After waiting for a little while she came down.
Zhang Feng: "Thanks for the breakfast, also you have classes today so you should get ready for them."
Zhang Qie: "I know, I will meditate when I get back home, you should join me."
After saying that and getting an affirmative from his sister he got his stuff together and started walking to the school.
While he was walking to school he looked around himself, he noticed alleyways and took note of the cameras that he could see, he would like to ask people about the local gangs but he didn't have enough time, he would do that on the way home.
When he arrived at school he went to his first period, history, he knew where it was due to his schedule he had, he didn't remember where it was from his past life due to it being so unimportant.
When he got to his seat a few people stared at him. Students that weren't familiar with him asked their friends who he was, when they got the reply that he was at the school last year they lost interest.
When the teacher stood up the class went quiet.
Teacher: "I am going to take attendance now, please say here when your name is called."
As the teacher listed names he eventually said Zhang Qie's name.
Teacher: "Is Zhang Qie here?"
Zhang Qie: "Here"
After hearing the reply he quickly went onto the next person and so on until he finished attendance.
After the teacher finished attendance he quickly went onto the lesson. The lesson consisted mainly of review of the stuff they did last year. (That is what school is basically for the first 1/4 of the school year. You don't really learn anything new, you just review last school year.) Soon the period ended, Zhang Qie went to the next period and the same stuff happened, it was boring and he would rather have just been cultivating.
The last period arrived and he walked to his classroom, this time it was a class for learning English, he knew he wasn't going to learn anything here because he already learned hundreds of languages in his past life, he learned them because he needed to be able to communicate with many different people in his past life in order to buy items that would help his cultivation.
As he sat down he noticed the girl that he met at the café, he was slightly surprised but nothing more. Class quickly started and the teacher called roll. The teacher called Zhang Qie's name and he answered. Then the teacher called the girls name.
Teacher: "Is Chen Xun here?"
The girl replied and he moved on. Soon the class started, the teacher asked basic questions such as how do you introduce yourself in English or say your age, gradually he moved onto more advanced questions which although were hard were still tolerable. The class came to an end and Zhang Qie got up and started to leave.
Chen Xun: "Wait"
When Chen Xun called out to Zhang Qie it drew a lot of attention. Chen Xun was the prettiest person in the class and possibly the school and there were many people trying to court her, whoever she talked to would be taken note of.
Zhang Qie naturally didn't know this and thought of her as a nuisance at this point, she sometimes interrupted his cultivation at the café and he had grown tired of it, he decided to just ignore her now and started to walk home.
Back at the classroom Chen Xun was somewhat stunned, although when she thought about him ignoring her she thought it might be justified, if he talked to her in the classroom gossip might spread and something bad might happen to him. She had a good impression of him at this point in time and wanted to ask him if he wanted to study at the café with her, they already sat at the same table and he seemed to study all the time so she thought he might be interested in it.
She decided that she will look for him outside of school to ask him her question, so she got up and left, making a note in her mind to ask him the question later.(don't really like the ending of the chapter but this is what happens when you are somewhat drained, might update this chapter in the future, won't talk about the school too much, only go into details when important events happen.)
