Flashback

Interviewers surround Tou Academy to interview the players. They start immediately look for Kuroko as they had heard of a new player came to Tou Academy. "Hello, hello. Can I have your attention?" the journalist enquired, "Can anyone tell me where Kuroko Tetsuya is?" All the players immediately started to search. "Emm, Mr writer I'm right here." The writer was shocked he didn't see Kuroko standing right in front of him. "My apologies." the writer said, "anyway can you tell me how you came across leaving Seirin even though they're doing so well and joined Tou Academy?" Aomine looked furious. He knew that it was a hard decision for Kuroko and he wanted to protect Kuroko by any means possible. Aomine screamed, "Hey you! I don't care how much of a big shot you are but don-"

"Stop Aomine!" Kuroko demanded. The whole room looked shook up, "It's okay." The writer couldn't but feel guilty for Aomine's outbreak because he knew he had unintentionally set a trigger. "It's a long story so I'll have to start from the beginning." Kuroko sighed, "It all started when I started to notice a change of attitude in Kagami. He was becoming arrogant, obnoxious and all the success of Seirin was messing with his head. In short, I disagreed with his behavior on the court and our priorities grew apart. We were aiming for the best for two different reasons. I wanted to have fun and play as team, but he wanted to totally dominate and take all the credit. I thought failure will revive the old him so I left in order to defeat him." The journalist was beginning to understand. "But why Tou?" He asked.

"Aomine was my old light so he was the most reliable in this situations. I knew he would help me because he too was urging to beat Kagami as payback for Seirin beating Tou Academy in the IntereHigh." The writer felt there was some more to the story.

"I heard you just came back from a training camp." The writer said. All the players immediately directed their focus to the writer. "Did you improve?" He asked Kuroko.

"Well not really." Kuroko said trying to hide his improvement so it doesn't get out. "I did learn how to lick three ice lollies."

"That's not exactly the kind of improvement I was looking for." The writer said, "Well sorry to waste your time. I got what I needed. Bye"

Kuroko and Aomine live block so they always walked home together. Spring had just started but it was going to last for three months because of Corona. Just in time for the InterHigh. School's were the only thing that were affected so they were still allowed to go out and travel. Kuroko wasn't going to waste this time playing around. "Hey Aomine. I talked to my parents. I'll be ready by tomorrow. How bout you?" Kuroko asked.

"My parents agreed and my cousins in Chicago are ready to take us in." Aomine said, "Are you sure you wanna do this? It's going to be a long and hard three months"

"Yeah I'm sure. Lets go to America, the home of Basketball." Kuroko said as he fistbumped Aomine.
