Exactly what did they mean by a certain moment is sealed here. They were aware that this place had something to do with Time but how do you seal a moment. What is this place, a large camera?

"Maybe we shouldn't focus too much on that. We don't know much about this place, but it is definitely here for a reason. I can only guess it houses something important. The only question left is what is the importance," contemplated Kaiden as he looked around examining his surroundings.
