-RIIIINNNGGGG!-
Aiden's head shot up as the bell to his first class of the day rang out. He never could stay awake in Mr. Harper's class. Him getting a good nights sleep was almost as ellusive as a good grade in biology, or taming his dirty blonde hair. He rubbed the drowiness out of his eyes and slid out of his desk, following the parade of students towards the door.
"Aiden? Can you come see me for a moment?" He heard from the small teachers desk shoved into the corner of the room.
"I noticed you asleep at your desk today." Said Mr. Harper, " I trust you're getting enough sleep, and this won't be an issue in my class?"
"Of course not Mr. Harper. I just had a little trouble sleeping last night, that's all."
"Good. Don't let us have this conversation again. Both of us know your grade isn't benefiting from naps. Now hurry to your next class before you're late, and try to stay awake on the way there."
Aiden hurried out into the hall, rushing to get to his next class. He was at full sprint down an empty hallway when he ran into a boy he didn't recognize. Now, Aiden wasn't a big guy by any standards, but his speed was enough to send the boy and all his belongings sprawling.
"Hey, man, sorry about that. I'm late for class." Said Aiden, bewildered how he managed to knock over someone in an empty hallway. He could have sworn the boy wasn't there only seconds before. Aiden looked up to see him still sprawled on the floor.
"Hey, you okay?" He asked. Aiden was sure he hadn't bumped him hard enough to hurt him. He reached out to help the boy up, hoping he wasn't hurt. As Aiden grabbed his hand he had time to realized it was ice cold before his soul was ripped from his body, and dragged to the astral plane.
