Chapter 31 Cruel Truth

She got out of the car, feeling groggy. The gust of wind cleared her blurry mind a bit, and it was then she realized that she had arrived at the Statue of Liberty in New York.

The familiar surroundings caused a surge of heartache.

Once.

She would ride on her dad's shoulders, making him take her around the Statue of Liberty.

Round and round.

She wouldn't allow him to stop, and he would happily carry on walking, endlessly.

The photos filled with such happiness were still carefully stored in her album.

But today in the hospital room, her dad claimed she wasn't his daughter. How could it be, how could she not be his daughter?
