The cacophony of horns honking from behind suddenly jolted Ling Fei's desolate spirit back to life.

Her eyes lit up.

She swiftly turned around.

At that moment, she was in the middle of a curve on the road.

Off in the distance, she could see a car rapidly approaching. Its lights were blinding, accompanied by a roaring engine. It was holding high speed and it wasn't the only one.

As the cars got closer, Ling Fei squinted her eyes; suddenly, she recognized these vehicles.

They were all sleek, luxurious Ferrari sports cars.

Before she had a chance to wave them down, the leading car screeched to a halt.

The three following Ferraris also stopped, their headlights piercing the darkness. The once dim road was suddenly illuminated.

Blinded by the wash of lights, Ling Fei squinted her eyes. For a moment, she couldn't see anything so she raised her arm to shield her eyes from the dazzling light and stumbled backwards a few steps.
