152: Xu Fang is kidnapped, Jiang Zhi pursues (Second update

"Zhou Xufang is missing."

Xue Baoyi was baffled, "What do you mean missing?"

He didn't explain, just said, "Don't alert the police yet, get some people over here."

"I'll bring people over right away."

After hanging up with Xue Baoyi, Jiang Zhi called Lin Wanwan, who was frantic on the other end asking endlessly; Jiang Zhi interrupted, "Pull up all the surveillance footage around the opera house."

That was all he said before hanging up.

There were no windows in the stairwell, not a sliver of moonlight could seep in; only the weak glow from the phone's screen lit Jiang Zhi's hand, his fingertips slightly red, the veins on the back of his hand faintly visible.

He stopped walking and stood in the dim light.

"Xu Fang."

He called out again, "Xu Fang," talking to himself, his voice the only sound in the stairwell, "Can you hear me?"

He paused, gripping his hand tightly, his palm sweaty.

"Your hearing is so good, can you hear me speaking?"

She should be able to hear him.
