The Remote Li Village

When Wei Xiao brought people to check the populace, what they found made them jump in fright.

Most of the people were scattered throughout a few remote mountain villages.

One of the most remote villages had the most missing people over so many years, and this wasn't counting the first few who had been the first to go missing.

Wei Xiao, on the other hand, was so scared by the number that his heart pounded and the vein on his forehead throbbed. Veins also bulged on the back of his hands as he strongly restrained himself and maintained a calm face.

Wei Xiao prepared to go to Zhaoshan Village. The village chief's surname was Li. Most of the villagers here were surnamed Li, so this village was also called Li Village.

When they found the village chief, the villagers were holding a ritual by the river.

They were using a girl as a living sacrifice. Wei Xiao and the others caught them red-handed and immediately stopped them.
