The girl smiled a little as she said. "Oh yes! It is!"
Soo mi also smiled towards them and let them have their time going through her CV.
Finally the young man looked up and threw his first question towards her. "Okay so I went through your CV. We have some questions for you now."
" Go on!" Soo mi replied looking at them straight.
"You look quite confident. Hope you can be this confident till the end."
"Of course!"
"Okay so what do you think you would do when you have a tight deadline and multiple accounting projects to finish?"
Soo mi nodded her head and finally replied after she thought that she can now. "I would focus on the most time-sensitive tasks first, as well as those that other people depend on to move forward on the project. If I needed additional resources to remain on schedule, I would ask the appropriate department."
All of them nodded their heads. Once more the man asked Soo mi while twirling the pen in his hand here and there.
"How do you answer questions from clients who don't have any background in accounting?"
"I would use analogies to help the person understand the information that I'm trying to convey. I wouldn't use any terminology that's accounting-specific, as that would make it difficult for this person to follow along. I spent a lot of time talking to the software development team about what the accounting team needed in our applications. I framed everything in technology terms, such as referring to a general ledger as a database."
Again Soo mi saw them nodding their heads. She gave all those replies quite confidently but down she was playing with her fingers all along as she was quite nervous.
"Okay so last question."
The young man said again. This time he let go of her CV and threw it on the table along with his pen.
He leaned forward and let his face rest on his both hands as he asked her. "If you find a better opportunity than this one, what will you do? Will you leave this company and go there?"
Both other persons present there also looked at her, waiting for her answer.
Soo mi took only a minute to process and she answered. "Of course! If I were to get a better opportunity than this one, I will definitely opt for it. Let's be honest, if you would be given a better opportunity I think you will also get it without wasting a minute more."
All of them nodded their but didn't reply to Soo mi.
"Okay! You can leave now. The results will be out tomorrow. Thank you!"
Soo mi nodded her head and got up from the chair. Without looking back even for once she went out of the room.
As soon as she was out of the room, she let out a big sigh which she was holding in all along.
'Did I mess it up? Why didn't they reply and just told me to leave? I think they didn't like my answer.'
She sighed again and said to herself again.
'I wanted to prove myself in front of the boys. But I think now that chance is also ruined just because of your dumb brain Soo mi. Ahh why are you so stupid Soo mi? Why did you reply like that in the end and ruined the interview? I think I would have done better if it weren't for the last question.'
Again she let out a sigh.
'Anyways let's just leave it. The boys will be doing every thing else. Let me just go back.'
With that Soo mi went out of the big building. She went over to the alley where her bike was parked. As per instructions of the boys she tried her best to not let any one see her bike.
