" I'll tell you a story about some very ugly and yet creepy horde that you need to be aware of." Aarie said looking at Rose. She was staring off into the night sky. She turned to look at him her blue eyes glowing along with the moon and stars, "what ugly horde? I know of some ugly ones already." She laughed.
Aarie hugged her close to him as they sat down by a campfire. That was set outside of the inn that they where staying in. They haven't gone back home to Groggum just yet.
Aarie smiled at her and then spoke "The Undead. Legend says that they pop up out of the graves of passed loved ones, who's spirits have finally reached their bodies after years of their souls searching, and roaming for an escape out of the spirit world. They some how ended up getting stuck out there. Most bodies decomposed into a zombie like state... having worms coming out of every hole and crevasse of their dead like bodies. Most of their teeth black or missing, some eyes will either not be in their sockets, or just hang there. Their smells... I can't explain their rotten to the core smells.
Some of them aren't as bad as I'm explaining them to be, for instance some undead people got the chance to have a protection spell granted onto their bodies, preserving their bodies until their souls return. But, of course that tends to wear off over years too. Some of the people get put into boxes or caskets that don't get buried, and stuck into a little bricked area where only priests or shamans have access to. It's like as small as an out house, but it's just a room for ones body to rest, awaiting the return of their spirits." He said looking into the night sky. Rose started at him dumbfounded. "That's a lot to take in. What an interesting story. And they sound uglier than Trolls." She giggled.
Aarie looked back down at her, his green eyes full of untold stories. "Oh trust me, they are damn ugly. Speaking of the undead peoples, they can be any one... any race, age, even animals can be undead too." Rose looked shocked at this. "Even animals?" She asked him still not believing him. Aarie nodded yes to her question.
"Well then... I've never came across an undead animal either. I don't think I want to." Rose said looking around them to make sure they didn't have any creepy animals roaming in the night. The forest was dark around them, they could only see a certain amount of light on the ground and trees near them from the camp fires light.
Aarie laughed seeing Rose scoot closer to him as she looked around them for any creepy undead people or animals. "They aren't going to come and get you right now silly woman." He patted Roses head like she was acting like a scared child.
She rolled her eyes at him "you don't know that! They sound hella creepy and I don't plan on meeting any of them. I want to stay far away from undead zombie type people and animals. Do they eat us too?" She asked him worriedly. He shrugged his shoulders at her question.
"I honestly don't know if they'll eat you... maybe if they are hungry enough. Don't worry about it. I'm sure we won't run into any of them. Any time soon any ways." Aarie said with an ornery smile.
Rose got up abruptly from where she was sitting. "Let's go back inside. It's creepy out here and cold." She said grabbing on to a jacket that the old in keeper lent her.
"Was nice of granny to lend you the jacket." Aarie said looking around for Granny, but she happened to go back inside after being outside for only five minutes. Her bones got cold quicker than their bones did being in her 90s.
"Well she said she was in her mid 90s so yeah, she's probably asleep by now." Rose said lending her hand out for Aarie to grab onto. He smiled charmingly at her.
"You know I will pull you down with me right ? I'm very strong." He said pridefully to her making her stare at him.
"So? Just get your ass inside, I want to head to bed already." Rose said wanting to sleep already. Aarie wasn't having it with her sudden attitude.
He then reached out to grab her hand and pulled her down to his level. She gasped falling into his lap.
Roses blue eyes went wide staring into his green ones. Aarie smiled at her as if he was planing on something.
"What?" She asked feeling flustered. "You know what" Aarie said not answering her question the way she wanted him to. "Umm.. no I don't?" She asked shaking her head and shivering from the cold night. He felt her shivers and held on tighter to her. Making her heart race to how close they where together.
She turned her head around facing towards the fire. Aarie snuck a kiss on the side of Roses neck making her get goose bumps.
She looked at him wanting to kiss him, but she didn't let herself get carried away and said "maybe we should go inside now ?" She asked ruining the moment.
Aarie sighed at her. "Really ? I was having fun with you and all you want to do is go inside and sleep. Just relax and enjoy my company for once. I am here to protect you." Aarie said with his face looming so handsome and serious as the fire glowed off of it.
Rose licked her lips wetting them, this made Aarie wince his eyes at her wondering why she was doing that for as if her lips were getting chapped.
"Hmm." Aarie said leaning his head down to kiss Roses soft lips with his soft warm ones. He kissed her so much to the point of her feeling headed needing some air.
"Did you like that?" Aarie Asked smiling brightly at Rose. "Yes, very much so..." she said grabbing onto his face gently.
"Well, time for bed now." Aarie said getting up, but he decided to grab Rose and picked her up into his arms. She giggled at him.
"What if I fall down?" She asked making him laugh at her as he went to open up the inn door.
"Why would I ever let you fall down?" Aarie asked looking down at her as he decided to climb up the stars still having Rose in his arms.
"You are crazy! You can trip going up here holding me you know." Rose wasn't thrilled with this. But Aarie was having fun teasing her this way.
"Like I said, you gotta relax and trust me." He flung their door open to then plop Rose onto their bed.
Aarie then began kissing Rose again prying her mouth open with his tongue and licking her mouth and lips like it was tasty to him. She blushed and laughed.
"Ok time for sleep, goodnight." Rose said and went on the other side of the bed and stuck the blankets over her.
Aarie huffed annoyedly at Rose. "I was having fun with you, your a party pooper you know that ? I'll just keep working on you then." Aarie said shaking his head and taking off his boots one by one. They fell to the floor with a thud.
"Maybe we can proceed whatever you wanted to do in the morning." Rose said and winked at Aarie. He scratched his chin trying to figure this confusing woman out.
"Ok then, I'm taking that as a promise. No going back either." Aarie was wanting Rose so badly he couldn't keep himself away from her much longer.
Rose looked at him as he got in the bed next to her. "Alright then, see you in the morning. Love you goodnight." Rose said making Aarie more eager for the morning to come.
