Slothguy

This is a novel I have had in my head that has danced from a play to a novel back to play.  I am going to finally put it out into the world.  David and Aelith are cousins who grew up as siblings forced to live with each other.  Their time together as roommies pushes them to discover things about themselves and then awkwardly trying to help the other grow.  Will living with someone they've known as a sibling make them feel better or even more awkward at life.

Together Apart

The date went well in my mind.  I texted Elizabeth a day after our date and thanked her for coming.  She sent back emojis.  I think that means good things?  Why can't we stop using human hieroglyphics in replies? 


Am I the only person who misses a simple, "I had a good time." or "Get lost that was weird and now I have a fungus."


Ae laughed at her calling me Zoltan.  She told me I was such a dork for using such a risky move and not being able to back it up.


I hoped it would show that I wasn't some shut-in but at least has some world wide experience.


We have talked a little in the lunch hall.  We can't talk much because it would cause a ruckus among the students.  They love to gossip.  I guess that's probably best though.  She's not avoiding me but she isn't reaching out to start new things.


I may send another message and ask for a new date.  We will see what happens.


I had a student light part of the class on fire during an assignment the other day.  They were using candles to set ambiance in the class room and it caught part of the room on fire.


My dean wasn't happy but understood what happened.  Thankfully it was just a trash can and part of a desk that needed to be replaced.
