"Waky, waky, sleepyhead, It's about time you got up. You've been asleep for too long" Amber said pouting as Jena's eyes fluttered open.
"What, where am I? I thought I was in my… Did you bring me here Amber? Who asked you t-" Jena stopped midway groaning in pain. She couldn't handle all of the information the relic gave her because her thoughts were unstable resulting in the pain she felt now.
Ding! 'As a result of your pain still being present, I will use a portion of your death energy to purchase a complete recovery pill'
Ding! 'Process complete'
Ding! 'Using pill now'
Suddenly Jena felt a chill throughout her body, which wasn't cold In the slightest, and instead warmed her up. It was a weird sensation but it was effective because her thoughts became lucid once more and her body felt lighter and more maneuverable.
"Life energy must've heightened the efficacy of this pill," She said soliloquizing as she got off the bed. There was something different about her and it was frighteningly obvious her aura had completely changed and she seemed to have an air of wisdom around her. Clashing with her emotions these past few days had opened up her mind completely and her thoughts were now completely lucid rid of all her childish impulsiveness.
"Did you find out what I asked you to?" Jena asked staring at Amber. Her eyes were now completely dead. Devoid of any emotion or life whatsoever, they seemed void and empty but they carried an unparalleled beauty. It was as though she was born into this world to suffer, she had become a test subject to life's cruelest experiments and now she was a dead man walking.
"His death sure took a toll on you, Jena look at you, you're in a pitia-" before she could finish the statement Amber was gone. Jena had sent her back into the ring and walked out of the room quietly. The warehouse was still cold and empty but now it had a bit of lighting.
Amber and the boys had touched the place up a little. There were 6 rooms in the building all of which were very spacious, they bought retractable beds, some lamps, torches, and other things, to make the place a bit homier and as Jena walked out of the rooms into the main hall, she saw Luka sitting by the dining table playing a game on a really outdated holo-box. Holo-boxes were small devices that projected a holographic screen and came with two sets of controllers for each player. One set was two wrist bands you wore on your hand that gave you access to control the game and the holo-boxes interface.
Luka suddenly screamed in frustration after losing in the game he was playing and Tyler shouted at him from his room for being too loud, but the person Jena was focusing on was the figure seated on the ground leaning on one of the pillars for support.
Energy masters were very assertive and sensed their surroundings a lot better than normal people, so immediately Jena woke up he sensed a major threat coming from Jena's room and it got even scarier when he suddenly couldn't feel one person anymore. Life energy masters could even sense unique life signatures and were able to distinguish between people and everything else. So Jena was also shocked to find out there was someone else around.
Suddenly a bright light flashed and two figures came out kneeling. When the light flashed everyone present in the house saw it including Tyler who was in his room, he suddenly came rushing out to see his brother kneeling and he immediately joined.
"I guess I found her and my word this is one hell of a boss," Saffron said soliloquizing remaining in his position.
"It seems you've given up on your life by keeping your dignity. I commend that" Jena said staring at saffron
"I guess life's just like that, the weak don't get much of a choice on anything so since I can choose how I die now, and I'd rather I died a man with guts," Saffron said smiling as he walked towards Jena taking a bow
"Well then, your death will come soon so be patient for now," Jena said smiling back at him before turning her attention back to everyone.
"I'm not some god that you bow to, so you guys should please get up, I can understand if he kneels but not the rest of you, especially not Amber," Jena said sighing as they got up except the man kneeling beside her. He was extremely handsome and seemed very mysterious and he carried a scabbard with a blade in it.
"Master it seems you're displeased with this ignorant fool, shall I dispose of him?" He said with a very deep and calming voice.
"That won't be necessary, he is useful. Amber simply because you are my friend gives you no right to talk to me however you please. Now if you have any info tell me now, I've got someone I need to find" Jena said plainly.
"I'm sorry madam. I overstepped my boundaries. I thought I was talking to my friend but she's gone. I believe she died alongside this boy she liked.
The mission you sent me on was successful, he'll tell you about it," Amber said as she got up and walked away the sadness and anger seeping out of every word she spoke.
"I'm very much uninterested in your tantrum or whatever the f#$% it is you feel, is that clear Amber?!" Jena said glaring at her as she walked away.
"This had better be good," Jena said sighing.
"Master I would advise you reprimanded her. This behavior is unacceptable and shouldn't go unpunished" The man spoke again.
"I really don't have time and Amber is not just some servant, she's also my friend and so are you, loosen up a bit.
Luka chuckled slightly, getting a slap on the head from his brother standing beside him.
"Let's go into my room, you have a lot to tell me," Jena said to Saffron walking towards her room.
Saffron was bewildered by everything he had just witnessed. The girl, whom the entire nation was looking for, roamed about carefree in an abandoned building with her subordinates. This was a joke much too expensive to tell.
