Chapter 23

Inside the medical wing it showed a bedridden John, his eyes slowly flutter open.

"Medical wing again huh?" said John dryly.

"Indeed, the medical room John, now you've have been only unconscious for 2 days, you are physically all right so you can leave." said the doctor.

John nodded and slowly sat up stretching his stiff muscles.

Putting on a simple sweat pants and a white t shirt, he walked out the room and walked past Adam in the passage way.

"Ah John are you all right, I heard about your fight." said Adam.

"Yes, I'm fine did you defeat the behemoth blocking your dome?" asked John.

"Behemoth?" asked Adam.

"Ah I must have been mistaken... If you would excuse me "said John as he walked past Adam back to his dorm.

Adam was looking at John's back and his eyes glowed red as he licked his lips, and carried on moving.

When John arrived at his room he immediately went to the shower and took a nice long shower. Afterwards when John was drying his hair, he looked in the mirror, his hair had gotten a bit too long for his taste so he decided he wanted to cut it, putting on clean clothes he left his room heading for the city.

In the general's office it showed him busy working out some paper work when he heard a knock on his door.

"Come in." said the General.

When the door opened it showed a figure walk in.

"Ah Adam what can I help you with?" asked the general.

"Oh nothing much just here to talk" said Adam as he grinned.

In the city a door sliding open is seen as John walked out.

"Thanks for the hair cut!" said John.

John's new haircut consisted of it being very short on the sides and the top part was spiky upwards.

His attention was drawn to a large group of people crowding around one person standing on a chair.

"What's going on?" asked John himself as he walked towards the group.

'EVERYONE REJOICE! THE LORD HAS NOT GIVEN UP ON US, THESE BEHEMOTHS MUST BE HIS ANGELS HE SENT DOWN TO TEST OUR FAITH!" Shouted the guy on the chair.

"Wow I wonder what type of drugs this guy's on hey?" said a random stranger.

"Yeah must be cocaine." said the guy next to the random stranger.

"HE CHURCH OF GENESIS WILL BE THE ONLY PEOPLE THAT SURVIVES HIS TEST, WE WILL DO ANYTHING HE COMMANDS, AND HE COMMANDS THAT THE SINNERS BE PUNISHED!" roared the man on the chair.

By the time the guy was still on his rant the police had arrived and dragged him to the station.

"Church of Genesis? I don't like the sound of that"said the teen as he climbed on the monorail towards the military base.

Back at the Generals office it showed both Adam and the general sitting down drinking some tea.

"I can't express how grateful we are to have received the help from your dome." said the general.

"You don't have to, with the ever-growing behemoth threats we humans have to band together yes?" said Adam as he sipped some tea.

"Couldn't have put it in a better way myself." said the general with a smile on his face.

The door to the general's door opens and a familiar figure walks in.

"Bartholomuel what can I do for you?" asked the general.

Adam turned around and saw that it was indeed his team mate.

"I came here to do my duty." said Bartholomuel.

Being shocked that his team mate actually talked Adam stood up and the general followed suit.

"And what is your duty?" asked Adam.

"To get rid of the sinners! He pulled open his jacket and there was a plasma bomb in both his hands FOR THE CHURCH OF GENESIS!" Shouted Bartholomuel.

John was climbing off the monorail right at the military base and a giant explosion caught his attention. He looked around and saw a sea of flame from the general's office. Sprinting quickly in the base he rushed towards the office, already at the explosion was the base's fire department, on a stretcher was Adam, he had nasty burn marks on him and his clothes were burnt. He raised a shaky hand and John grasped it.

"It was Bartholomuel" he said in a raspy voice, then passed out.

John told the medics to hurry and they quickly left for the medic wing ,inside the room the fire was still burning and hope that the general survived was thrown out the window when he saw a charred body lying on the ground, some of the general's medals still shined but was soon reduced to liquids from the heat.

Panting was heard as John turned around, there was Robbert right in front of him.

"John, I saw the explosion, is Adam all right?" asked Robbert frantically.

"He is at the medical wing now." said John.

"OK thank you "said Robbert and rushed off.

It took about 4 hours for the fire to be put out, afterwards the entire room was burnt black as if someone took charcoal and used it as a paint.

"Pilot John we found something!" shouted a FIreman.

Inside the general's desk was a note that survived the explosion.

"If anyone is reading this it must mean that I have died, I lived a satisfactory life so there is no need to go get revenge for me or something, now the position of general, I want to give it to Adam Hope...His dome provided us with technology that is going to ensure that humans survive longer, he has proved that he has leadership skills so my decision is final." said the letter.

John read the note once more and just left to his room, the day has been too stressful for him so when his head touched the pillow he was knocked out.

In the medical ward it showed a bandaged Adam sleeping on his bed. The door to his room opened and a figure approached him.

"You can stop acting Adam, I know you've healed by now." said Robbert as he wiped the fake tears from his eyes.

Chuckling was heard as it showed Adam sitting up, his eyes glowing red.

"I Deserve an award for acting no?" said Adam a big grin on his face.

"What happened? You weren't supposed to go boom you were supposed to break his neck." said Robbert.

Adam scoffed and a pissed off look adorned his face.

"That was the plan but then that bastard Bartholomuel showed up and spouted some bullshit about punishing sinners and then blew himself up." replied Adam.

"The Church of Genesis... it's a growing problem, just earlier in the city one of their members were sent to jail for threatening the public with death." said Robbert.

"Did you also plant the letter?" asked Robbert.

"You mean the one where the "general" puts me in the position of general? Yes, I have" he laughed and stood up showing that his body was perfectly healed, he turned to Robbert and his horn sprouted out.

"We are going to change this dome Robbert" said Adam he had a sadistic grin on his face.

Robbert got a notification on his tablet and he gained a giant smile on his face showing his jagged teeth.

"The King has arrived, let's go greet him.... General" said Robbert.

Adam grinned and followed suit.

Outside it showed a man in a black suit and 4 induvial was behind him.

"Let the game begin." said Platinum as his eyes glowed yellow.
