In Love with a Shapeshifter (part 24)

"This way." He pulls me down a hall way. Its well lit and welcoming. The walls are the color of a redish-brown and have a boarder with skulls. Not so welcoming any more.

"This place is pleasant." I say.

Seth laughs and looks at me with a smile on his face.

"What?" I smile, but it quickly fades.

"You must really don't like my house."

"Well yeah...um I mean..sorry."

"Its fine. Here, be quick, they can't find out that you are up here." We stop at a bathroom door and he let's go of my hand.

"Um thanks. Just warning you it will take a while."  I go in. The bathroom is neatly put together. I look around for a vent or something to escape out off, and I find something better, a window. Its right under the toilet.

"Perfect." I whisper. I walk over to the window and start to open it and it makes a bit of a squeaking sound.

"What are you doing in there?" Seth yells from the door.

"Um...uh... I'm opening the window because....um....I took a crap and it smells bad in here. Sorry it might stink for a while."

"Um...okay hurry up." He says uncomfortably.

I open the window more until its open all the way. I step onto the top of the toilet and look out the window. Its about a 30ft drop.

"Whoa." I look back at the bathroom door to make sure its closed. I have to do this quick. 

I put both of my feet out side the window and my sitting on the edge of the window.

"One...Two...Three." I launch myself off of the ledge. I feel the air rush though me. My breath taken away. Before I knew it, i came in contact with the ground. The pain hits me like a bullet to the chest.

"Arrggg." I moan. I slowly start to get up but a fall back down with a gasp. There's a sharp, piercing pain in my leg. I look down and there's a metal pole right though my leg. The blood pours out all over on to my pant leg.

"Ahhhh." I scream. I look up at the window and find Seth looking down at me.

"Move it!", yells someone. The pushes Seth to the side and looks down at me," you let her out! Get her!" Its Zelinda.

I get up as fast as I can and run-jog towards the woods. They can't find me there.
