I sit along the castle wall watching Azrael stand on the edge preparing to jump. Az, should you have your wings out? I ask lazily opening my wings against the wall. She turns and snickers, still facing me she walks backwards of the wall. I jump to my feet and dive after her only to see her feathery wings open. The bright colors standing out against her otherwise black wings. At the speed she was dropping the colors were a swirl. She caught her fall in a twist and flew up to me laughing. Damn girl is gonna give me a heart attack one of these days.
Scared I'm gonna fall to my death Valsilos? She spun in a circle around me. I didn't want to admit it but yeah I was kinda scared, I'd never let her know that though. She wasn't exactly the most "careful" person I knew.
Nah, just didn't feel like taking chances you clumsy shit. I swatted her in the head or well I would've if she wasn't moving so quick. She darted around me heading back up to our perch on the wall. I followed behind at a lazy pace. Arriving to the top the sight that greeted me was a familiar one, Azrael, wings fully extended staring at the castle wall gate. Already a line was forming. More than likely most of them complaints to be taken to the king.
That's how things were before souls started being reborn. I was quite literally stuck with Azrael, seeing as I tried to kill her a few thousand years back, she bonded my soul to hers as a punishment. I wasn't grateful at first with my life being spared. But we became close after a few hundred years. But now with a soul lock being placed on everyone except the elites everything has changed.
