"Hey did you hear the news? The top 1 core disciple Yao Yunmeng gave a beating to the one who ruined the entrance exam. I heard that he is now in a half dead state. Sadly, the elders and the sect master stopped the fight. One of my friends saw the fight. He said that Yao Yunmeng was untouchable."

"Finally, someone gave a good trashing to that bastard. I'm sure many people wants to kill him."

Discussions like this can be heard everywhere inside the inner circle and outer circle currently. The news spread like wildfire and almost everyone heard the news on the next day. Some people even wondered how can Wei Yuan defend against Yao Yunmeng.

INSIDE THE PAGODA OF THE SECT MASTER

The crystal ball was on the table. The sect elders and the sect master currently watched the fight between Wei Yuan and Yao Yunmeng. They repeated the fight many times because they knew that the last strike from Yao Yunmeng was deadly, yet Wei Yuan still survived somehow. Everyone wanted to know the truth.

It was useless, they didn't see anything even after they watched the fight 20 times. There was only one way left. The sect master called Yao Yunmeng. She is the only one who can imagine what happened.

Yao Yunmeng currently silently cultivated inside her house. This house was way better than the normal houses. It was a privilege of a core disciple. A house with many rooms and a lot of resources. Suddenly, someone knocked on the wooden door. This wooden door was also a carved piece of wood. A high quality door.

Yao Yunmeng walked there and opened the door. The assistant greeted her.

"Sorry for interrupting your cultivation Yao Yunmeng. The elders and the sect master wants to see you."

Yao Yunmeng nodded and silently followed the assistant. They reached the pagoda after going through just one mountain peak. The core circle was located beside the highest peak, closest to the pagoda.

The assistant entered without knocking. Yao Yunmeng bowed to the elders and the sect master.

"How can I help the elders?"

"Yao Yunmeng, we summoned you here because we need your help. We succesfully recorded your fight with Wei Yuan and found something odd. You should have killed Wei Yuan with that last strike, yet he still survived. We just want to know how did he do that. Do you remember something?"

"Yes, I also found it strange. It was like a natural barrier around him. I think it was extremely compressed air. I don't know how did he do that."

"I see, thank you for your help. You can enter anytime if you find out something later."

Yao Yunmeng bowed and left after that.

The elder started discussing after she left. A technique to compress air is not new, but almost no one using it because it's ineffective against stronger cultivators. There are also no books about air compressing inside the library. The elders suspected that Wei Yuan figured out this technique by himself. The air compressing technique was not hard, someone like Wei Yuan can figure it out with some work.

TWO MONTHS LATER

Wei Yuan fully recovered after a month, he decided to not cultivate during this time because that will only hinder his recovery. He studied the different Qi and martial arts techniques every day during this one month.

The next month was the same except one thing. Wei Yuan started cultivating again and reached the fourth stage of Foundation Establishment. His current schedule looked like this: 8 hours studying and 4 hours cultivating. He understood everything he can about Qi. Now, he needs to go to the central continent if he wants to learn more.

Luckily his current knowledge is enough for now. It's time for Wei Yuan to create his own unique technique. Creating a technique is very complicated and not many can do it. Wei Yuan not only wanted to create a technique. He wanted to create an upgradeable technique which he can use to attack, defense and cultivate.

This was the ultimate technique in other words, all in one. Wei Yuan already wrote down the theory behind the technique. The countless notes written with that unknown language were almost all parts of the technique.

"Guide the Qi through the body, inhale the Qi, exhale the Qi, breathe the Qi. Understand the natural flow of Qi and utilize it. Analyze the Qi. Understand and adapt."

It was the theory behind the new technique. The user needed to understand Qi on a very deep level. These sentences looks ordinary, but the meaning behind them is extraordinary. Breathing Qi is unprecedented. This means that you have to replace the air with Qi and inhale Qi instead of air!

It was just the cultivation part of the technique, there was also defense and attack mode. He wanted to use sword intent for attacking and somehow change it. Sword intent was boundless and this is exactly what he needed in order to create an upgradeable technique.

Defense was the easiest, he can just depend on the natural Qi in the air and manipulate it. He also used this method against Yao Yunmeng when he compressed the air. Wei Yuan still developing this technique and he just used the incomplete version. Compressing air is easy, but Wei Yuan not just compressed the air. He also compressed the Qi inside it.

Wei Yuan also created a new type of Qi just for this technique. This Qi was black just like the evil Qi, but it was way stronger than that. This Qi can absorb other elements and other type of Qi's. Wei Yuan created this after four months of hard work. He called it the Origin Qi.

Now, it was time to test the new technique.
