06 ...moment

"You new here, right?" he keep on asking me while lazily playing with the nuts. He break the shell after he got bored and consume it with eyes on me.

I said nothing because I just saw him kissing some other random girl at the very same yesterday's spot. I don't know why I keep on pushing myself over there today...

Maybe because the sweet smell or because I didn't get the pavlova I've been craving for.

And now, I'm happy to devour the sweets with all of my might but due to this guy's happy to tag along, I have to pretend like a good girl.

Shit! Who cares?

His eyes still on me. Yeah on me while I'm eating like a hungry person!

"Why?" my tired eyes on him.

He chuckled before get up and sit beside me. Slowly he leaned closer to me.

I distant myself from him slowly. He knew what I did.

"Don't worry, I'm not gonna kiss you once again. So, tell me...your name..."

He pulled away, placing his elbow on top of the table holding his hairy chin.

He got beautiful eyes...

Wait!

I think...I've seen this colour before...

Stupid!

It was my eyes colour!

What a beautiful coincidence...

His nose in perfect shape and angle.

The lips so tempting...

Most importantly, his eyelashes so pretty! Very curly...

"I'm Brie..." he extended his hand for me to grab it after I didn't reply the question.

Brie?

Another coincidence?

The pavlova slowly melted and slowly I gulping down the taste in so much satisfaction.

God I've never had enough to have this kind of taste all day long.

Delicious!

"Maya...Maya Brie..." I smiled at him while shaking his hand.

His eyes bulge opened listening to my name. He didn't let go of my hand and I do feel comfortable to the warmness he radiates to me.

"Maya?"

I could hear it even though he just breathe it out from his system...

"Yeah! That's my name...We sharing the same name..."

I was a bit blushing. Don't know why...

"I'm honored to finally meet you, Maya...the real person..."

??

Honored?

I gave him a question looks and he seems to understand it because he just smile at me and let go of my hand.

I could sense something spark between us but the pavlova keep me salivating. I grabbed the spoon but...

"May I ask you something, Maya?" he asked with sincere expression written on his face.

"Sure!" I nodded placing down the dessert spoon on the plate. Didn't continue to digging more into the dessert.

"Can I hug you?"

His eyes...his eyes...why out of sudden he seems...sad?

Didn't know what to do, I just nodding with straight smile covering my expression.

Without warrant, he came hugging me. Yes he hugging me like I was a prescious thing for him.

"You finally here!"

I heard it! My brows crease in unison heard something came from his mouth.

"What?" I tilted my head trying to look at him.

"Nothing!"

He let me go with the smile. His avoiding eye contact with me.

"Welcome to the A!" he exclaimed welcoming me like he was a boss over here.

A? What A?

He seems like he can detected my unmentionables question, he just smiled and said nothing. Simply walking away...

"Enjoy your pavlova, Maya...and have a happy life here..." he stopped at the kitchen door winking after said those things and walked away from me.

Frowning...gulping like a fish...I decided to let it go and get back to my sweets...
