The test part 2

Outside the cave, he felt uncomfortable with breathing, but inside the cave, it felt like his skin was being roasted and that each breath he took was counterproductive. It's a strange feeling when you're supposed to be drenched in sweat but the sweat boils off too quickly and all you are left with is dry skin.

Alexander kept running into the cave, at this point he had placed all his hopes on his gut. It was telling him that something big was inside of the cave. Truth be told he got this sense from his past, every cave contained a monster, this one should as well.

As he ran he started seeing medium-sized lizards on the wall, which sprattled away the second they noticed him. Alexander felt like it had gotten harder to think, but he did not stop running. His enemy now was not birds or giant lava throwing creatures instead it was the time and the heat.

Then the small cave opened into a bigger room. Lying on a rock was a giant creature, it was bearlike except its fur was completely red and it seemed as if though it was breathing fire. Alexander had been lucky as the beast was still sleeping. Alexander could capture this beast but something told him to go further, it was his gut speaking again. After all, the tunnel continued and if this was here what would he find further into the cave.

Alexander moved slowly towards the continuation of the cave, double guessing himself each step of the way. Then when he got to the entrance he kept running, the bear-like creature opened its eyes and let out a roar. Alexander did not look back as he kept on sprinting forward. His feet had gotten very heavy, and his vision had started to blur. He did not have much time left.

The number of lizards on the wall had increased and so did their size. Every time one of them saw Alexander they would sprattle away scared for their lives. Alexanders intuition told him to ignore these creatures and instead focus on running.

Then the cave entered into an opening, it was a large space. This was the final room, the cave did not go further than this. What Alexander saw shocked him. All along the floor, ceiling and walls, there were lizards. The lizards were light red and each one of them had an eye tilted towards Alexander. These ones did not look frightened by Alexander, instead, they looked slightly annoyed.

But his eyes were caught by something else. In the middle of the room, there was a giant lizard lying. It was the salamander. This one was completely black with yellow dots scattered on to it, Alexander could naturally not see this due to his eyes being blurry but he knew that he wanted this one.

The salamander stared at Alexander menacingly, it had not remembered the last time a human had decided to visit it. Annoyed, it flung out its long tongue towards Alexander completely cutting one of his legs of his body. The wound had gotten burned so badly that no blood was coming out of his severed leg. Alexander not having a leg to support him fell over to his side, he was nows supporting himself with one of his arms.

It is said that when your life is about it end it freezes, it allows you to look through all of your memories before you die. It usually happens when you are falling towards your death but it can also happen when there is a bullet travelling towards you. Alexanders consciousness had entered this zone but his mind was divided and still focusing on the current scenario.

Alexander felt as if everything transposing in front of him was doing so in slow motion. His eyes were stuck onto the salamander's tongue, it had drawn it back and was now launching another attack towards his head. Alexander could see it slowly making its way towards his head, he could see the trajectory.

He put up one of his hands in the trajectory of the tongue.

He accelerated the hand towards the tongue.

The hand slapped the tongue resulting in a slowed tongue but a separated hand.

He used his acceleration to wrap his elbow around the tongue.

It was burning but it did not carry the force to cut his arm into two. Alexander did not feel the pain from his actions, that part of his mind had turned off. The salamander reflexively brought back its tongue which propelled Alexander towards the salamander.

His elbow had almost been burned completely through showing bone but the burned skin had stuck to the tongue and bone effectively acting like tape. As Alexander flew towards the salamander he could see regret in the salamander's eyes but it was too late.

Alexanders elbow entered the salamander's mouth, his head flew alongside it. All his senses had been cut off, he could no longer feel the rest of his body. However, without Alexander knowing it his arm had wrapped around the Salamanders skin almost as if it had its own thoughts but this was simply Alexanders will forcing itself on the arm.

He had in his own way hugged the successfully hugged the Salamander.

He opened his eyes to find an old sight. In front of him was his fully functional hand placed on the red crystal. He looked to his left to see the familiar man standing there.

"A success, well done. Walk back to the rest of the group."

When someone captures a spirit it is practically the same as them living inside of you. Where did it live you ask? It lived inside of the user's mind, depending on the strength of the spirit it would take a different amount of space. The spirit Alexander had caught was one of the strongest. It had taken such a big part of Alexander's mind that he only had the brain processing power for one sense.

When he had woken up onto the "real world" he had used it for sight, in other words looking around. When he wanted to walk to the group he had overloaded the brain. "turn around, keep the balance, smell, sight, finding the group" all of these commands were included in a walk to the group. His brain used to be able to do this easily attempted to do everything at once. The result of which was that he lost his balance and stumbled onto the edge of the path.

Before falling down into the void.
