Forlorn darkness stretched all around as Eli drifted away to an imperceptible abyss.
"Huh? I thought... No, I'm sure I finally took that monster down," she pondered out loud, brows scrunched together in confusion.
"Angelica..."
Flummoxed at the sudden call, she then hastily searched the emptiness, anticipating to meet the person she'd been longing to see. It's only been less than an hour since she sensed like she wasn't there anymore, but she already felt lonesome and incomplete. It's as if things were no longer the same as before without her.
"Venus...? Was that you? Why can't I see anything? We're too old to play hide-and-seek, you know," Eli called back while cupping her mouth.
"I see you had learned the trick. You used my power without my permission... Same when you figured out how to appear on a mirror," Venus muttered vehemently, still out of sight.
