Cosette couldn't stand it.
No matter how much she tried to ignore it, she just couldn't. Her mind's all over the place, and she just couldn't think straight at this point.
Her trauma is still there after all, waiting to be revived by something similar to its cause.
"Cosette, are you all right?"
Snapping out of her bubble of mulling-over, the blonde looks up to find her white-haired companion staring down at her with his weary crimson orbs. They only exchange looks for a moment of stretching silence until the sight before her eventually registers.
That's when a certain image from a distant past flashes through her line of vision - a boy with similar features. But before she could get too caught up in it, she immediately shakes those thoughts away and anchors herself in reality.
"L-Lucas..."
"You seem troubled, Cosette. Did someone bother you at school?"
"Well, ummm..."
