Flashback

In the time when Sasha was enjoying Aaric's warmth through his fingers as he rubbed her hair. She closed her eyes as she was enjoying and savoring the moment filled with pleasure. Unbeknownst to her a gentle smile was hanging on her lips and Aaric noticed that too. He felt everything was worth it.

Amidst the warm and spring bloomed moment in the room, Sasha knitted her eyebrows as she could recall something.

Her mind was blank, yet she could see certain things even could hear the conversation. She felt as if she was herself experiencing that moment. She felt her one foot was in current reality and other in that past flashback she was experiencing now. These thoughts were enough to make her feel scary.

Sasha could feel that her throat had started to get tightened and it was suffocating her. She could not breathe properly.

She tried to catch up on the person with whom she was just talking to but could not. She could not grab his hand, even though she was still chatting with him happily. The voices she was hearing, it gave her a feeling of familiarity. She could feel that the person is very familiar to her, she knows him.

She tried to widen her eyes so that she could get a perfect view of that person, but nothing was clear. She could see that the person had very sharp features and he must be very handsome. His sharp nose, the outline of his face, even his jaw line, everything did not seem new to her. She was sure that if she could just try to see properly, she could see his face.

While she was trying to adjust her angle of her eyes to look at the person, she was getting tired more and more. As she was feeling weak, she tried her very last ounce of strength to enlarge her eyes, still at the end she could just see a blurry image.

On top of that, it was all purple and sometimes it turned white. She could feel that her head started to get heavy. Her eyelashes felt too heavy to her to open her eyes. She could neither open her eyes nor she could speak anything. Her throat felt as if somebody had tightened something around her neck tightly. There was a lump inside her throat which was preventing her from speaking.

She wanted to lift her hand to sooth her head, her throat. But every effort she was trying was all in vain. Her whole body seems to have frozen. Every part felt too heavy for her to move.

She could still hear the unclear voices of the person talking. Even she spoke a few words to him without realising. She could hear the laughing and giggling sounds but yet could not understand how come she was having problems while speaking. She felt as if she was drowning into the past. There was not even an ounce of energy left inside her body that could lift and pull her up.

She felt something was clouding her eyes too. A warm gush seeped through the corner of her eyes. She was trying her hard to control it but could not. It was making her eyes more blurry and flooded.

Tears started to roll down from her eyes on her cheeks.

She was feeling an immense pain at the back side of her head. She could not think properly. Her mind was totally fuzzy. The last drop of energy was all she was left with after exhausting herself. With that last thread of energy, she screamed with all her might.

"Aaric… it's too painful!"

"Aaric… it hurts…"

At the end, Sasha started crying. It was too much for her. She could not handle that pressure. It was too heavy to experience that. Everything was blurry. Her every body part was aching.

Aaric stopped his movements when he heard her cries. He quickly threw the towel and walked in front of her. He bent his back slightly and cupped her delicate face in his large palms. Sasha could not stop whining in pain. Her eyes were still closed, afraid to open them.

He carefully wiped her tears that were continuously seeping out from her eyes, using his thumb.

She continued to sob as she hugged her knees. Looking at her pitiful state, Aaric's heart was having an immense gush of pain. He bent down and carried her. Carefully, he placed her on his lap and adjusted himself on the sofa. He tightly embraced her in his arms. He patted her back while whispering few words beside her ear, till she calm down.

He kept on consoling her by saying, "It's alright, I am here. Don't be afraid I will protect you. I am here. Don't be afraid."

His words magically affected Sasha's emotions and in a few minutes he successfully calmed her. She was not crying anymore. Her breathing also seemed to be regular. He thought that she might have fallen asleep after crying so much. He carefully turned her head a bit to take a glance. The moment he looked downward at her face, he was in daze...
