1.6 HIS BLAME

After sleeping for 10 hours Alisa was not tired so she got out of bed to contact her family assuring them that she was fine.

"Where are you going?" Giovanni has always been a light sleeper so her movements caused him to wake up.

"It's okay sleep I am just going to make a call to my family and be right back," Alisa said while giving Giovanni a small kiss on the corner of his lips, which in return earned her a sloppy smile.

"Okay, here take my phone I'll be there in a minute." Giovanni knew she wanted to make some personal calls so he gave her some space.

"Alright." Alisa never thought that someone could be so thoughtful.

While making her way to a corner she spotted Sasha sneaking around like a thief.

"System what is she up to?" Alisa asked with clear amusement in her eyes.

"Host she is trying to have an 'accidental ' encounter with your man." Alisa was visibly happy that System calls Giovanni her man.

"And what is she doing here?" Alisa knew that Giovanni was not the kind of person to help others even when he can.

"Host it's because Luis identified you when you fell unconscious. He shamelessly told Giovanni that you both were high school friends, Giovanni was suspicious but with your unconscious, he didn't pay them much mind and saved them." A tinge of mockery could be heard in System's voice.

Thinking about how Sasha pushed her off the cliff in her previous life a plan brew in Alisa's head.

"System is there an open deck  on this yacht?" Alisa asked while planning something.

"Yes, host there is on the second floor, passed the lobby to the right there are stairs to go up." To go up she will have to pass in front of Sasha. Just Perfect.

"System send a message to Giovanni's phone asking him to bring some wine on the second floor open deck, and also send one to Luis tell him to come on the open deck and fetch Sasha, she seems lost," Alisa instructed System while making her way to the second floor.

A smile crept onto her face when she saw Sasha following her. Sure enough, a leopard never changes its spots, in her last life Sasha was her best friend and they treated each other like sisters yet she killed me. Now that I am a stranger she wouldn't even hesitate.

Sasha has been trying to approach Giovanni and seduce him but he didn't even acknowledge her presence. On the island, she wanted to display her survival skills, her amazing and caring personality. She wanted to portray herself as a bubbly, independent and hardworking woman so that Giovanni would take interest in her.

After calculating everything, Sasha was confident that Giovanni would also fall in love with her after all she used the same trick on Luis knowing he was a second-generation heir. Don't all the rich man like an independent, hardworking woman instead of a pampered young miss only knowing to demand and complain.

On the yacht, Sasha wanted to have an accidental encounter with Giovanni and seduce him with her body but she couldn't even see his shadow. After the help arrived only the doctor and Giovanni were allowed in Alisa's room and because Alisa liked peace, Giovanni told everyone to move to the first floor that is why Sasha couldn't find Giovanni.

Sasha's tricks might have worked on any other couple but she underestimated Alisa and Giovanni. One was the CEO of the leading IT company while the other was an heir to one of the oldest powerhouses of the country.

After realizing that Giovanni was truly in love with Alisa and She was also Luis unforgettable first love her rationality snapped. When she saw Alisa the same woman she hated without even talking to, going somewhere Sasha subconsciously followed her. After Realizing where she was going a very sinister plan emerged in her mind.

You cannot blame me for this, who told you to be loved by both the men that I want, who told you to have a perfect life. People like you are a waste to the society who only know to spend their parent's money and seduce men. That's right If not for you Giovanni would look at me, if not because of you I'll be the centre of attention like always. You forced me to do this, it isn't my fault and you cannot blame me. You deserve this, all my life I had worked so hard for everything I had wanted yet you get everything without even desiring anything.

She convinced herself that this is what Alisa deserves and it is not wrong to desire something after all everything is fair in love and war.

When she saw Alisa on the phone laughing and talking to someone, Sasha slowly and silently made her way to Alisa and pushed her into the water, Sasha smiled a sinister smile when she realized that Alisa couldn't swim. Thinking that a major obstacle has been removed from her way, Sasha was in a very good mood and turned around ready to go back to sleep and think of ways to comfort Giovanni tomorrow.

Turning around she saw Giovanni and Luis crazily running towards her she was terrified. Without giving Sasha a single glance and without hesitation Giovanni jumped into the ocean.

After rescuing Alisa, Giovanni took her to their room and called his personal doctor Dave.

"You don't have to worry, she is fine. You saved her right in the nick of time, if you were even a moment late she might have been in danger. Right now she is only shocked and needs a little rest nothing else." Dave said while scrutinizing Alisa, even Dave had to admit that Alisa is a top-class beauty but he knew to make Giovanni fall heels over head in love with her is not something just any beauty could do.

"Okay, Leave. Stay in the room next door, if there is an emergency I will call you." Giovanni said without taking his eyes of Alisa.

Dave could only sigh at his childhood friend's behaviour and leave quietly.

After an hour or so Alisa opened her eyes, looking at Giovanni's red eyes, wet clothes and messy hair her own eyes became red. Without saying anything she buried herself in his embrace and hugged him with all her might.

She regretted it, She shouldn't have put herself in danger no matter what, she had many other ways to get rid of the couple but this was the easiest way so she acted upon this plan but if she knew Giovanni would react like this she would have never done this.

"I am sorry, I should have been more careful so don't ignore me okay,"  Alisa said with a choked up voice.

Giovanni tried pushing her away but Alisa wouldn't let go of him. He could only helplessly sigh not wanting to hurt her by using more force.

"I am not blaming you, I am just angry at myself to let you get hurt twice. I should have been able to keep you safe no matter what but I failed not once but twice." Giovanni said while carrying Alisa in a princess carry and taking her to her wardrobe.

"Go change your clothes they have gone wet while hugging me," Giovanni said as he opened the wardrobe.

"You also have to change your clothes, how can you stay like that in wet clothes when it is so cold. What if you catch a cold? Just like you, I'll blame myself if you get hurt because of me. I don't only want to be cared for, I also want to care about you so please take good care of yourself." Alisa said hugging Giovanni from behind.

"I understand." Giovanni turned around and kissed Alisa's forehead.

On the second floor in one of the rooms, Luis and Sasha were half-naked hanging upside down tied by ropes. They have been in this position for hours, Blood has rushed in their heads making their faces red.

As they were giving up on seeing anyone today. The door opened and Giovanni walked in with three other men.

"Jake cut the ropes and let them have a rest," Giovanni ordered sitting on the chair right in front of them.

Sasha looked at at the cold and emotionless man sitting in front of her, looking down on her like an all mighty emperor looking down on ants. Staring in Giovanni's eyes filled with fury Sasha didn't cower back in fear, maybe it was because she was brave or just plain dumb to not even notice the fire of rage blazing in his eyes enough to burn her alive without leaving any remains.

Sasha was deeply entranced by Giovanni that she didn't think of anything else. Since the moment Sasha saw Alisa she felt many complex feelings towards her, on one hand, she felt a tinge of undeniable closeness and goodwill but on the other, she felt a lot of jealousy and hate towards her.

Sasha felt that Alisa shouldn't live such a happy life, she felt that all which belonged to Alisa should be her's and Alisa should have just died but she didn't understand why things turned out this way.

When she saw Giovanni order his men to release her Sasha thought that Giovanni took pity on her after seeing her state and decided to let her go.

Hmph, even after I tried to kill Alisa, Giovanni released me maybe he is feeling sorry for. This proves Alisa's worth in his heart seems to be nothing so does that mean I still have a chance.

Thought Sasha as she stared at Giovanni but she didn't know what kind of hell was she going to go through after Giovanni was done asking his questions.

"Why did you push Alisa off the yacht?" Giovanni might seem calm but the protruding of veins on his tightened fists tell otherwise.

"I-I did not push her, I just-just wanted to talk to her but who knew she would slip and fall," Sasha said in a pitiful tone, tilting her head down exposing her neck and cleavage. Sasha knew all-powerful men love submissive girl, but Giovanni's heart and soul were already enamoured by Alisa.

For Giovanni there where only two types of women his family and Alisa everyone else could go and die he wouldn't care may it be a national toppling beauty or an innocent next door girl.

"So you are not going, to tell the truth. That is exactly I wished for you to say so that I can have my men here torture you for the rest of your life. For those who shall harm my Alisa granting death would be showing mercy." With that Giovanni got up and left the room without a backward glance.
