Help...

Beth•••

I watched the sky darken with no trace of Seth. I checked the time.

21:37

"Tsk" I clicked my tongue in annoyance.

I had left him various messages in the last two hours and he left me at SEEN.

I was becoming frustrated. I left the shelter of the grill shop to see that clouds had gathered. Another threat of rain.

Sighing deeply I took a walk to clear my mind from the pessimistic thoughts that were arising.

But they didn't leave. If anything it became worse. My head started banging with thoughts like Seth had ditched me. I knew he wouldn't.

Right?

Anyways, I was already in front of the water before I could notice. I took off the sandals held them in one hand, my purse in the other and started kicking the water.

I imagined it to be Becca and kicked even harder. I kicked till I got tired. My legs gave way and I fell on my butt in the ice cold sea.

The tears that I had tried to confine came rushing down. I felt so sad. My heart filled with bitterness.

I remember how she had acted like I was the villain when I was rebuking her. My heart bled like a knife had been thrust into it.

People push you to your limits, but when you finally explode and fight back. You are the mean one.

Everytime I try to defend myself, I'm made to feel bad or extremely stupid. I know that all those expressions were a facade because Lincoln was there.

She was trying to act like the reasonable one while I was the dumb and unreasonable one.

I sniffed and pulled myself up from the ground. I was tired of feeling all these emotions.

Its like I've felt too many of the wrong kind of emotions in one night.

My eyes were trained on the rise and fall of the waves. The moon's reflection on the sea looked particularly marvelous tonight.

Shining so beautifully, mocking me because of my dire situation. "Go ahead and laugh at me" I said to the moon.

"You look so pretty. Everyone wants you. But no one wants me...no one wants a crazy bipolar, D.I.D person"

"I want you" I heard a measly voice behind me.

Jolted with shock I stood up and took few steps backwards. The waters grazed my calves. "W-who are you?" I asked staring at the dark figure in front of me.

"It doesn't matter. What matters is that a pretty young thing like yourself shouldn't be sulking. Why don't you come to that little hut over there let me show you how much I want you" he pointed at a hut a little far from the shops.

Now that I notice, I'M a little far from the shops. I could barely make out the shapes of the buildings but I could still see the faint lights.

My heart began pounding in my chest. "Go away" I said shakily.

"And leave a hottie all alone? Not a chance" I saw him smirk.

I squinted my eyes to see his other facial features. From the way he talked I was sure that he was dead drunk. He looked older than me but not too old. Maybe around his mid-twenties.

I figured that if I run, in his drunken state he wouldn't be able to catch up with me. But I was in the water and the pressure could make me fall if I tried running so I took a deep breath and thought up a plan.

"I'll come with you but do you..." I gulped "h-have p-protection?"

He fumbled in his pockets and brought out his wallet, as he was going through it I was making my way out of the water.

He scratched his chin as if trying to remember something. Then he patted himself down. I was already out of the water by this time and could smell the harsh odor of alcohol radiating off him.

While he was distracted I pushed him into the water and took off in a sprint to the shops. I ran as fast as my legs could muster.

It was too late to regret wasting all my energy kicking the sea. I smiled when the shops became visible. I was a few stones throws from it when a heavy body collided with mine causing me to fall down.

I rolled off my face to my back and was horrified to see drunky smirking at me.

"Gotcha" he smiled and I felt little patters on my hand. When I looked up I discovered that it was raining.

Sh*t. I stood up on shaky feet but the guy was quick to hold my leg making me fall. My nose hit a stupid stone that couldn't have found a better place or anywhere else to stay but where my nose was going to be at that very moment.

I felt it crack and a warm liquid trickled to my lips. I kicked violently and managed to land a kick to his face. I sprinted again but he still managed to catch me.

I was beginning to doubt this guy's alcohol tolerance. I mean who runs this fast when drunk?

Unless he's an athlete?

Groaning I struggled with the heavy drunk guy on me. I screamed "help" but the rain swallowed the sound.

Tears started falling when I thought he was gonna have his way. I felt around me and felt something cold.

Not bothering to check what it was I just hit his head with it. He tensed then fell flat on me. Blood leaking from the side of his head.

That's when I looked at what was in my hands. It was the stone. Well, well my little frenemy.

I pushed him off me and scrambled to my feet. "Are you okay?" I asked because he wasn't moving.

I kicked him lightly. He didn't bulge. My breathing hitched. My heart in my throat. I swallowed saliva and pushed it down to its rightful place.

My hands shaking, dropped the stone. I blinked away the tears trying to stay sane. I fumbled around for my purse.

Almost destroying the zipper I fished out my phone. I looked around and saw that there was a public toilet a few meters away.

I ran to it and called the first person on the dial. It was Seth. But still he wasn't picking up. My eyes blinked at the time.

21:49

A shaky breath left my mouth as a tear slide down my face. My life was an absolute mess. I called the next person I could call.

Nelly.

She picked on the second ring. "Beth?"

"Nelly I'm at the beach. Call for help—ahhhhh" my sentence got swallowed in the scream that left my mouth.
